Embossed numbers on front of Birkin?

Has anyone ever heard of a Birkin having embossed letters underneath the Made in France stamp, and an S in a circle as well?

The bag is 2007 - its something I've never seen before, I wondered if its a sample bag??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These bags are bought at a special price and I believe they are supposed to be for that employee's personal use - not for resale. The additional letters are an employee code that enables the original bag purchase to be traced, thereby discouraging resale.
There are some bags with just an S in a circle - these denote a sale purchase by anyone who had access to a Sale.

I understand the concept of why they did it, but it just ruins the bag. At least perhaps stamp the back of the bag or something.

If I was an SA who got a chance to by one, it’s such a shame to see the font of the bag ruined by a serial number stamp.

I see your point
but it is a blind stamp
and is not going to be visible by a third party unless the bag is open and they are very close
but Birkins are often carried open with the flap tucked in the back
