WOW!! that's insane, they wern't even launched yet!! just the press release for the soft opening..thats crazy!! is the Turquoise set in silver or gold? I thought the same as Bitten...i'd be able to try it on first

I know! How can they advertise something all over the world and then run out! LOL. From the press release it sounds like hand-carved pieces and they must be limited edition... although it says "the must have accessory of the summer..." Must have for like 300 people apparently! So confusing. It said "select stores worldwide" and I know Toronto didn't have them sitting around... very strange but I can't wait to see it! I'm not sure I'll buy it ... if it's huge I will probably get scared off, but one way or the other I'll snag a pic for everyone! I have yet to see one on!

Oh and I'm still not sure if it's sterling or white gold (on the turquoise)... I suspect sterling silver though because Elsa Peretti does most of her things in silver or yellow gold or platinum... the fact that the turquoise is more expensive may have more to do with the turquoise itself?

I'm really wanting to see one of these on now - now that I probably can't have it, suddenly it's becoming more attractive!!
I know isn't that retarded? The more exclusive (and sometimes even expensive) they make something the more I want it too! Well, within reason... I have to remind myself I have to REALLY love it - this ring is like half a cartier tank watch! I just LOVE turquoise, summer, waves... their ad campaign had me sold before I even saw it! haha. I think I'll be able to walk away if it looks too big.

haha I know I get so into the olympics, and I'm soooo proud of our Canadian athletes they did amazing
I tried on the clear cabochon ring at Tiffanys on Tuesday and it was huge. It is like the size of a giant gumball on top of your finger. I really wanted to see the green jade with silver which I believe costs $850. But they only had clear one in the store. Turquoise looks beautiful in pictures but way out of my price range!

1st of all - the turquoise is with silver (not white gold) and cost $1900 - US dollars
I went to order the green jade and silver in a size 6 which is $850. They only come in whole sizes. I was told that there were two of these in distribution center and only 3 in the stores in whole country of this size and color combo. When SA went to put order through, she found none at distribution center. I'm hoping to get 1 of the 3 that are in the U.S. stores.
17 more are being produced (on backorder) with 4 of those already reserved. So hopefully if I don't get 1 of the 3 supposedly out there, I'll get a backorder one.
My SA is supposed to call me later to tell me if I should have early next week or in a month!

Thanks for sharing Hokaplan. I'd really like to see one of these in real life - really large rings sort of scare me (I only have one cocktail ring and it's probably as big as I would feel comfortable going). But this design looks so amazing, I wonder whether I wouldn't just be able to pull it off?
When I saw it earlier in the week, I thought it was ridiculously huge. When I went back today, it didn't look too big anymore. And it was the same ring! Statement rings are "hot" right now and I see many people of all ages and sizes wearing big rings. I hope I love it when it arrives. Part is the thrill of the chase! Just knowing that there are only 2 left now in the jade/silver (in size 6) in the entire country makes me want it more!
