Just saw this club, I have had this backpack more than 12 years, bought it in Vienna. Hardly used her in the last 10 years, should start using her again

Hi, I just bought the ellipse backpack from Fashionphile. It's in great condition, but I am wondering if the canvas is supposed to be really hard/stiff? I want to make sure my new-to-me bag doesn't have canvas that is too brittle. It is from 2002. I'm used to new bags, which have more supple canvas. Thanks!
The ellipse bag in general is very structured. However, vintage canvas is much thicker and IMO way more durable.
