PITA Buyer nayl_nanc

First message: "Hi I just wanted to ask when you said 10' across is that exactly because I like them at least that size."

Following message: "I got the coach purse and its beautiful but only one thing wrong you measured it wrong its 12' like my black one. You said it was 10' and that's why I bought it because the size 12' is a little big..."

Wanted the bag at least 10", but dismayed when she got it and measured it 12". There is more to this story, but I think one can get the drift.. :confused1:

It all started with this message over a pair of Gucci Blooms slide sandals:
I've been looking all over for these for my daughter she's been bugging me since they came out . They are all on back order

I've tried to check out more than once and it's not allowing me to would I be able to send you the funds via PayPal goods and services?

I was agreeable, she e-mailed me, told me that she wanted them sent to her sister so that her daughter wouldn't open them and ruin the surprise, etc. She said she would e-mail me later that day when paying, and we had agreed upon a price, too. There were more e-mails, and so forth. Then, she disappeared.

She came back a week later, asking if I still had them. Next came the story about waiting on a refund on her credit card, asking her husband to pay, then nothing...she was so desperate to get them for her daughter, and she wanted them ASAP, but I told her before I left that I was going out of town on the 7th, so she would have to pay by then or wait until I got back on the 13th. I was receiving other offers, and I e-mailed her again. We had agreed that she would pay and I would mail them when I got back (she is local to me, so I could have met her too). But I still received no payment from her. I wasn't going to mail them and couldn't without an address.

Finally, I e-mailed her again because of offers I was receiving. After TWO WEEKS and THIRTY FREAKING E-MAILS WITH THIS MORON, she simply says "I am no longer interested." Well F-you too for wasting my time. I hope karma comes back to bite her. Please don't ever deal with her or try to do her a favor!

I know you're done with this transaction but in the event it happens again, you should NEVER do an in-person exchange when payment is made through paypal. Local pickup MUST be cash only.

Ehhh, yes and no. When it's something over $300, I'd prefer PP invoice because we both still have protection, and I don't want to deal with the potential of counterfeit bills. No one is going to stand there while you check them/there is the possibility of someone grabbing the item and running.

Purchased my lovely Mulberry briefcase and then lied and said she'd taken it to "Mulberry Headquarters" and Selfridges concessions who said it was fake. Thankfully I have the e-mail receipt for the purchase and despite this she still maintains it is a fake. Now she won't return the bag for two weeks as she's on holiday (a holiday she told me she was purchasing my briefcase for...!!! how convenient!!) so she's a time waster and a money waster. BEWARE!!!

I think the issue with using PP on a local pickup is that there is no linked tracking number - so no "proof" the buyer received the item. A dishonest buyer could make a claim with PP saying item never received, and you wouldn't be able to back it up. So they could, in theory, keep that item and get a PP refund and you would be out of luck. That's my understanding, Beenburned can correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup, and now someone on eBay wants to pay cash on pickup. UMMM, no. Plus, I'm out the eBay fees too, which I said I can't go that low in the first place. eBay has "accidentally" suspended my acct. twice recently because of people sending me messages to pay off ebay. I could care less, because I just want to get deals done, but only if someone sends me their info these days. I rely on these sales to make my loan payments every month, so I can't just be shut down.
