I know you're done with this transaction but in the event it happens again, you should NEVER do an in-person exchange when payment is made through paypal. Local pickup MUST be cash only.We had agreed that she would pay and I would mail them when I got back (she is local to me, so I could have met her too).
Ehhh, yes and no. When it's something over $300, I'd prefer PP invoice because we both still have protection, and I don't want to deal with the potential of counterfeit bills. No one is going to stand there while you check them/there is the possibility of someone grabbing the item and running.I know you're done with this transaction but in the event it happens again, you should NEVER do an in-person exchange when payment is made through paypal. I think the issue with using PP on a local pickup is that there is no linked tracking number - so no "proof" the buyer received the item. A dishonest buyer could make a claim with PP saying item never received, and you wouldn't be able to back it up. So they could, in theory, keep that item and get a PP refund and you would be out of luck. That's my understanding, Beenburned can correct me if I'm wrong.
