fritzikay made me Best offer on my item:141776663351

Ebay sent her reminder notice..I sent her 2 reminder notices

So today when a NPB case was open she then decides to message me telling me that she is new to Best offer and didn't realize when I accepted her offer it was a commitment to pay. she says she doesn't really need now. I just don't buy that argument that she is new to the Best offer feature when she has over 300+ feedback.

What nerve! Over 300 feedback... she knows how eBay works. My last nonpaying bidder has had new feedback every day this week. These people really make me want to stop selling on eBay.

That is exactly why I don't buy her argument she knows how it works! I blocked her & I will keep the case open until eBay closes it next week.

No contact, no payment.

I'm new to selling on ebay (3 months)but this board has taught me to not mess around when it comes to non payment...I have my settings set to 2 days then a claim is filed automatically. 4 days later it's closed (this is my 2nd time having a non payer)
I had a buyer message me right away that she would pay a couple days later...no problem at all. Communication is key!

Not an NPB, but this is a dishonest buyer, who is also a reseller. She bought an item from me in great condition, and tried to extort a partial from me by saying that it had holes in it that I know were not there. I offered her a full refund for a return several times, and she just kept pushing for the partial and refused to return the item. She has worked this same scheme on other sellers too, and leaves negatives for anyone who does not give in to her demands. She is a bully. I wish she had never found me, but hopefully I can help you from ever having to deal with her. All my best!

As I told JuliJenn in a PM, after looking that this scammer's toolhaus and the scammer's own ebay listings, it's pretty obvious that chicswatch is a flipper who makes false claims and demands partials in order to get a higher profit when she flips.

In fact, out of 9 negs left, 6 of them refer to "scratches," "scuffs," "issue," "hole," etc. Clearly, those sellers who were negged didn't give in to her when she demanded partial refunds for the damage:

I have e-bay set up to automatically open an unpaid bidder case after three days. Most bidders will immediately send me payment after receiving that notification.

If the bidder doesn't pay after 7 days, e-bay automatically closes the case, refunds my seller fees, and re-lists the item for me.

It's really idiot proof and I have to do nothing. Honestly it's made my life so much easier. The stress of having to do all that stuff manually was what gave me grief. I highly recommend letting e-bay do all of this for you. They do give you the option of how many days to wait before opening the case on your behalf. I picked three days because I know personally I would never go that long to pay if I won an auction.

Wow, good to know all these. Thanks for posting audreylita :goodpost:

What makes her *special*

Non-paying bidder
Big ticket item ($5K+)
Her feedback includes both buyer and seller transactions (over 75) over numerous years
She used the Jewish holidays as an excuse as to why she couldn't pay for the item in a timely way.

  • Bought item 9/18.
  • She said she was traveling due to the Holidays and could not get to a secure place to pay for said item.
  • Yom Kippur and Sukkot came and went. There's no other Jewish holidays for a while.
  • Numerous communications, she still wants item and she won't commit to when she's going to pay. It's been close to a month since she committed to buy the item.
  • 10/13 A case is opened against her.
As yet, no payment. I assume she's Orthodox, so she won't pay due to it being Shabbat.

I am Jewish. The High Holidays are a time of introspection looking at where/when you fell short as a person—and vowing to do better. So bidding on an item that you can't or won't pay for—is a sin.

Well, you came with definite proof to validate that!
