I suggest to block bobleilani.
Purchased designer shoes and filed a SNAD. While in her possession they became quite worn prior to the return. Of course, the buyer won. Even though she had posted photos of them in various social media. She left a neg, which was removed, comment only.
Unless you like renters.....
OMG!! Did you look at her toolhaus? (And this is a seller too!)

ETA: Her listings claim tpf membership. Ugh!

I had not gotten that far! Oh my! I hope she is not really on tpf. Just goes to show. smh
I thought I remembered seeing some of those shoes in her bidding history being posted here.

It's been said many times that advertising oneself as "tpf" doesn't mean much.

1. Anyone can join
2. They can lie and claim membership when they aren't
3. Many scammers are here and have already been caught.
4. As long as a member doesn't violate tpf rules, they're allowed here.

As always, it's buyer and seller beware!

I read about this one too - but you're a little wrong. She did a bait and switch - got the brand new shoes (with box) and then started asking for partial refunds for "damage" on the shoes. The pictures were clear they were undamaged, brand new. Kept pestering for a partial and seller said return for full refund, no partials.

This scamming buyer sent back another pair of shoes that were much older with broken heels and a lot of damage - they were very worn out. NOT the pair that were sold to her. Sent them back without any box. She kept the brand new shoes and the box she received and scammed the seller.

Ebay refunded out of their funds, not the sellers. But seller is still filing with USPS for mail fraud at the insistence of Ebay & Pay Pal who revealed this was not the first claim where something like this happened with this buyer.

Seller has already taken photos of the new shoes in the buyer's possession where she is raving on social media about her "wonderful new shoes" and other evidence to the post master general for the investigation. Like the bait and switch buyer that did this to one of us involving a purse in San Antonio, we might one day be hearing about an arrest in this case too for mail fraud. I hope so.

Thank you for the clarification. That is even worse. No wonder sellers are scared.
I apologize for not having the whole story prior to posting, but am so grateful to know just what lengths some will go to.
I am glad the seller did not lose her money, but angry at the enabling of EBay/PP to these scammers.
This also shows that, as many have said, putting in listings that you belong to tpf, is worthless.

Too true. It makes me sad though since I would rather buy or sell to someone from tPF. She has been added to my blocked list as well.

I don't know that it is worthless, but I think you still need to do your homework. Even with a few bad apples I would still rather buy from someone from here. There are a lot of great sellers that are pf members. I am still more likely to buy from a trusted pf member.

What I mean, is anyone can put that in their listings as well as anyone can join here. There are many good sellers who may have never have heard of tpf. :) And, there are many good ones that are members here.

Apologies for going OT.
