eBay Non-Paying Bidder List

eBay confirmed they were able to link the third ID.

This is really getting old! I hope they take action but knowing eBay they won't.

My buyer took the bait and just contacted me to tell me her aunt bought the bag. She said she is going to call eBay to find out why her aunt can't buy my bag. I told her to go right ahead.

Bought item again today using her mom's name:

lizewell2012

I called eBay and let them know. They are going to see if they can link the accounts. I found the relationship on a geneology page.

**I want to preface this with the fact that I know that 4 days has not passed from the time the auction closed, I am just trying to get help now in the event that the buyer does not pay**

Just out of curiosity, how does the NPB process work? I sold some stuff a few years back on ebay and a little out of the loop. After my first 2 auction in well over a year, one went well and the other not so well. The auctions closed on Sunday (1/6/12). I have made numerous attempts to contact the buyer and have heard nothing in return, The auction was for a pair of Beats headphones. Based on her feedback, it looks like she bought a pair pretty similar to the ones that I was selling the same night. That, combined with the lack of communication, leads me to believe that she has no intention of paying. I know that I have to wait before I can file the NPB claim, but how long does it take to get your listing fee back? I don't want to re list the item before the 4 days because if she contacts me in the 11th hours, I am the bad guy. Also, the buyers phone number shows up on the invoice...should I attempt to call her? I don't want this to be any more painful that it has to be. Any advice from someone who has gone through this before would be appreciated.

I think you're jumping the gun just a little. Wait until Thursday before filing the NPB. Even then, eBay will give the buyer an ADDITIONAL 4 days to pay. Just because she bought some headphones earlier may just mean she wants an additional pair:smile1:. I know it can be frustrating waiting for payment which is why I always have "immediate payment required" for my BIN auctions;).

Yeah, I am with you on that. I am not contacting ebay until Friday. It is frustrating though. I mean, if you are not going to pay for the item, just say so...that way I can move on!

You don't really have to contact ebay; you just file a NPB (check the box that buyer didn't pay) and ebay does the rest. For future auctions, you can have the automatic set-up so that ebay automatically opens up the NPB after 4 days. That makes life just a bit easier, and you can then truthfully say that ebay does it. :) Fees come back to you after the 8th day if you open NPB on the 4th day (it has to be 4 days and an hour).

I am having a similar situation where the auction ended, sent winner an invoice and 2 follow up emails and had no response. Tomorrow will be day 4 so then I can file NPB. So, if I understand this correctly, after another 4 days I'll receive the fees back and can I then relist? Sorry to hijack, but her situation is so similar to mine! Been selling on ebay for a few years now and this is the first time I've had someone not pay as I usually do BIN with immediate payment required. First auction I do, I get screwed. Grrr...

Yes, after 4 days and an hour, you can open the NPB case. The buyer then has 4 days more to pay, and if they don't pay, ebay automatically closes the case and credits you back the FVF. I wish I didn't know this so well, but even though I don't sell that much on ebay, I've had a lot of NPB. I have gone to the BIN with IPR myself now.

Thank you for the response! I'll be sure to post the buyers name here once I file the NPB. I guess I'm lucky it's the first time for me. Some of the stories I've been reading are scary!

had only 5 feedback and sent me an offer on my item. I checked her bidding history and found she bought a LOT of stuff, and much of it had been re-listed, so I declined the offer, figuring she was just not paying anywhere. The next day she sent me another offer for more than the initial offer. Stupid me fell for it, thinking "she must be serious if she is offering more money a second time"... wrong. No payment, no response, yet has continued to make purchases since she purchased my item. NPB case will be opened in a couple of hours. Waste of time.

beekies02 -- she has really good feedback with is scary, but bought something from me and threatened to open a case since they didn't arrive in "time" for an event. I called ebay and they agreed with me that she was an unreasonable buyer since item arrived within the shipping timeframe. Was really just scamming for partial refund. (which i sadly gave into since I was tired of the headache)

bdh98a- also perfect feedback. bought a gift card from me and the next day EBAY sends me a message saying that the users account has been compromised and removed the listing. I had already sent the item. Luckily it looks like I'm protected by paypal--however-- definitely a scam since I checked all the users email accounts with paypal and ebay and they are all fake email accounts.
