Ear piercing question - two holes too many?

I have three holes in each ear, two in the lobe part where most people would have two and then a space and then another one. I don't think it's that noticeable and I've only ever had one or two people comment on them and it was never anything negative, just stuff like "oh I never realised you had three earrings". I wear three average size silver sleepers in each ear but I am thinking of changing it to one normal sized diamond (fake) and then two smaller ones in each ear.

I feel the same way! I want 2 holes in each ear too, but I am scared plus my boyfriend said I don't picture you with those, since you are an "elegant" young woman lol. But Jessica Alba has it too, and it looks really nice.

I think you can be elegant and have more than one hole in each ear.
It just depends on how you wear the earrings.
I think the days of people thinking multiple earrings are for "wild girls" are pretty much gone. ;)

I have 3 in each lobe, just got my conch pierced Saturday, had my rook pierced 2 years ago, both in right ear..my left ear also has the tragus pierced..going to get the left conch done too....oh and I usually wear diamond studs or silver studs in the lobes..

I have three love holes on each ear, high cartilage on one, lower cartilage on the other, my took on one and my tragus on one. I only end up wearing the lowest love hole but when I younger I certainly loved getting pierced haha

The tragus does take a little longer to heal than a lobe piercing, for example. I have my forward helix pierced twice and it has taken about 6 months in total for it to heal. As long as you clean it daily with sea salt and keep it free of chemicals, such as hairspray etc, you should be fine.

Thank you scrapsy!!!!

I have had two holes in each ear since I was a kid. I only wear small studs in the second holes, and then wear whatever earrings in the first hole. I like the look of having two earrings in each ear... I never knew people thought it looked outdated! :)

I got 2nd holes in both ears last year cuz I wanted to wear more stud earrings. Totally regret it. Mostly because they were pierced by some blind ho at the mall who did a terrible job ( fairview mall -Toronto - sunshine salon. I'm looking at u!) but I'm regretting the way it looks too. My long hair covers it up so no one really sees it anyways.

To those who have your Tragus pierced did it hurt? Also did it take longer than a standard ear piercing to heal?

I just got my tragus pierced in both ears one week ago. It hurt more than other piercings (I have two in each ear, belly, and had my nose done at one time but have taken it out now) but with that said, it is over in a split second and It didnt even make me tear up or anything. Just make sure you go to a really good/clean place and keep your hands off of it while it heals. Oh, and dont plan on sleeping on your side for a while/ wearing ear buds lol

Ohhh thank you for that info Louiebabeee!!!

I have had my belly and nose pierced also so that's a good reference point if it hurts more than that.

I didn't even think about sleeping on my side or earbuds. That will be a problem with earphones and listening to music I presume.

I'm 35 and have my left ear pierced five times (two in lower cartilage) and my right ear four times. I've had them this way since I was 19, when I got the last set done, and I still wear earrings in all of them. My skin is funky about some metals, so I usually wear sterling silver or stainless steel hoops, no studs. I have long hair that usually covers my ears, so when I wear it back, I tend to get comments from people who hadn't noticed it before, lol.

Yeah last night I did sleep on my side and it was a little sore but I found a good head position lol. I went out and bought head phones, the kind that the ears have donut shaped pads in them, so I position them that the middle holes are over where the tragus is. Works good until the piercings heal and I can try ear buds in a few months. If you get them done, I have had good luck with cleaning them with "arm and hammer simply saline wound wash" you can buy it at the pharmacy..the piercer gave it to me. Yesterday my ears were sore and I heated some up in a cup, soaked cotton balls in it, and held them on my ears. Worked great :smile1:
