I have two in each lobe. I got the second ones when I was about 30 years-old. I wear diamond studs in the second hole and I mix up the earrings in the first holes a bit. Lately, I have been wearing a small pair of shiny rose gold hoops, which is a great combo with my studs.

i don't think two is too many/too 80s at all :) i used to have two in each lobe, quite close together...i took them out a couple of years ago when i got a cartilage piercing, and kind of regret it now. i like the look of a stud and a dangling/chandelier earring together.

Go for it! I have 2 holes in my left lobe and 1 in my right lobe (used to have also a cartilage piercing but took it out). I wear pearls in the first holes and a diamond stud in the second. It looks great!

I have a question, how badly does ear lobe piercings hurt? I am 18 and have no piercings, but really want to get my ear lobes pierced, but I hate needles and pain.. does it hurt badly?

I'm sure I'm in the minority now... but I kinda think it's tacky. In HS I had 9 in one ear and 8 in the other... and I could probably put a bunch back it but I think that it's sorta juvenile to have more than 1 in each ear. But that's just my opinion, do what you love.

Go for it! I have four holes in each ear (got them all in middle school/high school). Now, I typically just wear 2 in each ear - an earring in the 1st hole and a stud in the second one.

I prefer one in each ear and personally think that more than two in each year becomes a little tacky but it looks good on some people. I think one more in each ear would be fine and not 80's ish lol

I have 3 holes on one and 2 on the other. I had my original holes done so long ago and the holes have gotten more like slits, so I just wear studs or tiny rings in them. I can wear earings with more weight on the new ones. I love the look, although I would not pierce anywhere else...

Both of my ears are double pierced. In the upper holes I wear small diamond studs and I never take them out. I don't even think about the fact that I have 2 holes in each ear! Currently I work in a conservative banking environment and it's not an issue at all.
