Kathd, how do you like BG's setting? Can you tell the difference from Tiffanys?

Honestly, I REALLY like it!

When I look at it from the top, I cannot tell the difference between the authentic one and BG's version.

But it's not an identical copy though: BG's setting obviously sits higher if you look at the profile of the rings.
And the band itself is just a teensie bit sharper / more dainty, which I think is just perfect on my small fingers. You really need to put them side by side to see the difference, though.
I specifically asked BG to make the ring as dainty as possible, so I'm really thrilled with the end result. :smile1:

That pear is breathtaking! Do you mind sharing the specs of the shared prong in the first and last pictures?
Thanks! The shared prong is a 7 stone. I thought it was 1ctw but I've seen it next to other stones that are 15pts and they're a touch smaller. So maybe .70 total with 10pt stones?

:loveeyes: Holy moly!! I didn't know I liked pear shaped diamonds but this large one with the two diamonds on the sides is perfection!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
It was sooo pretty, the proportions on it were great.

BOTH of these rings are absolutely beautiful! I really do love pear shaped stones, although I went classic round for my upgrade, too. Both stones are just lovely.
Thanks! I hope to have a pear again someday, in addition to my round lol! A pendant or colored stone ring.

Oh my!! I just die! To have a big fat pear is a dream of mine!! May I ask your ring size and how many carats? I'm sorry... That's pretty nosey! Lol your solitaire is alway absolutely beautiful!
Thanks!
I don't mind at all, the center was 2.5 and the sides were .60 each. My finger size is 5-5.25.

God I love that round with the thin micropave band.
Thanks, I'm gonna wear it like that today! That nasty prong on my solitaire though, I think it pushed a stone out of my skinny band. Now the prong sits right in the tiny gap where the stone was lol.

Thank you Bitten! We love our princess rings!

It's so pretty, I love it! If I ever need to reset I might follow in your footsteps!

damn! Those prongs really are MONSTERS, the way its incorporated is gonna unfortunately be an issue without a spacer. I hope you can get the band fixed and wear it again when the spacer arrives.

Thank you for the feedback! I think I can see from the pictures that the BG band is slightly thinner as well. It is very pretty :) congrats again!

can't tell the difference in settings, does the BGD's is comfy as the Tiffany's?

Yes, they both feel very comfortable. I do believe however that if someone would squeeze my hand pretty hard, it would be more painfull wearing the BGD given that the ring is a little bit sharper. :smile1:

Here is my upgrade. I started with a RB that was 1.32ct and upgraded to a 3.01ct.
