Dream closets......minimalist to maximalist

That's a big storage area - and the next room has storage as well!

I noticed that. The cabinet is huge but I like the idea.....on a smaller scale. It sort of looks like a large commercial or retail storage case, but it could just be a large piece of furniture in a large house. I like the way the back of the piece has been painted white like the walls. It makes the back disappear. Of course, with all that glass, one would need to be careful of (possibly) too much direct sun exposure and fading of items inside it. I learned that the hard way years ago.

I didn't notice the painting of the inside back wall till you pointed it out - that's a nice touch that helps it blend in with the wall and gives it some contrast to the doors. Totally agree with you on the sun exposure. I have lost a couple of pairs of dark leggings to the sun that comes into our current closet from the window within it, despite there being a roller shade there.

When that happened to me. I had a nearly transparent sunscreen film applied directly to the entire window, which was small. It seemed to take care of the problem but we moved several months later, so I’m not sure if it was completely successful over a longer period of time.

I'm a big fan of folded clothes over hangers (for certain clothes) - I really like vanity cupboards and old dressers.

Some repurposed cabinets

This is a metal reproduction of a pharmacy cabinet that I use for sweaters. (It was originally used for a childhood blown glass paperweight collection, thus the top two shelves. I need to pack these up...) link below. Sorry about the bad lighting

And here’s a good Restoration Hardware photo. It comes in multiple finishes.

I Decided to post this device as I’ve been interested in it since I first read about it when it was in development.
I got the first photo out of a magazine and the rest on the LG.com website. If anyone gets one of these, I’d love to know how well it works. Since it doesn’t require plumbing or professional installation, it could really be a great appliance for my house.
