Greeting my Dooney friends!
I would like to introduce my latest addition to my collection. I wrote about this bag a few months ago, pleading for the Dooney powers to bring it back. Sadly, my pleas weren't answered for Christmas shopping. But Saint Valentine came though, when this popped up on ThredUp, and that checkout button was clicked with the force of Thor's hammer.
I knew what to expect too, the pictures on ThredUp weren't lying. She came with a lot of scratches on her. The inside surprisingly, was in really great shape. I took my time in cleaning her up, and she's now ready for her close-up.

This bag was expertly restored. It looks new/mint condition. You are indeed the handbag whisperer. Very fine work. I swear you could definitely open your own vintage restoration business. Beautiful bag
Thank you! I think this bag is really unique, and restored beautifully.
It comes with the 2-part strap; which is slightly wider than the typical Flo straps. The handle is sturdy and thick, so good for hand carrying. The bag is 13” in length. Typical laptops could fit inside, definitely an iPad. I think the bag would be best suited for work commutes, whether it’s by train or bus. It opens just by the loop at the center.
There is one thing though; the bag is very top heavy. Like I said above the handle is thick & sturdy, which attributes to the top of the bah being heavier, so it kinda tips over when opened. You really have to load the bag up to distribute the weight evenly, to avoid the tipping over; which is why I think this works as a work and/or school bag.
That can be an issue with a lot of handbags, especially flap bags or others with
handles or hardware/trim on the top of the bag. As the leather softens, gravity
takes over when the bag is empty. I'm glad you have figured out how to
balance the weight by distributing your contents.
Sometimes even when bags like this are new, they will not stand up straight....
the weight of the flap/hardware/trim will create a lean to either the front or back
when the bag is empty. We have to use our contents to counter-balance the
weight of the design.

Sigh my Florentine Hattie rain spotted just a little. I had training on day shift all week, so I was up at 4:30a and out by 5:20. Was dark and I didn’t know it was drizzling/misting/raining. Was able to condition with apple when I got home and blend the spots in. I thought since my Hattie had a slight texture, it would make a difference… I’ll be moving out as rain is in the forecast the next couple days. I really like this bag….
I noticed the Hattie is stitched around the drawstring like the Logan. The whipstitch flo drawstring has grommets around the drawstring. I’m finding it easier to open the Hattie because of the stitching. The whipstitch is harder to fully open with the grommets…

I'm glad the pinks are still on the fashion scene.
I really do love the Dooney fuschia color.
I'd also like to see more lavender and lilac...
they were stunning when they appeared in early

That red is gorgeous! I’ve been really considering this bag in either pebble grain or Flo, but with the equestrian strap. How does it wear for you? - in particular the opening.
