I❤️Dooney is selling out of a lot of items. I guess that’s a good thing as they will restock with new goodies. My aunt received her coin case but has not received her purse. I looked on site and it says still processing. Everything I purchased has arrived but one order says still processing, but I have it. I hope her bag arrives today as she is keaving on a cruise tomorrow. Nobody will be there to get the package. I Am About to call her to find out who delivered the coin case. With my items ups sent me notice of delivery. Ive got nothing about her shipment… I’m hoping her purse comes today. She loves the coin case. She wanted pebble grain Carmel. The color is beautiful

I'm still resisting adding another Flo twist strap hobo. to my collection.
Beautiful handbag and now at a great price. But... I've come to accept
that I need a handbag I can open and close
with one hand and where the top is structured enough to stay
open and provide easy access... A SATCHEL!

I have far too many
slouchy handbags in my collection, and every time I use them,
it's frustrating for me. Yesterday I was in the Flo Medium Satchel
Crossbody in light taupe. Beautiful handbag and I used it as a
hand carry with 2 parts of the 3 part strap. But due to the slouchy nature,
I had to set it down on a surface to open the top (using 2 hands) and
try to get things in and out. The opening is wide enough, but the fold over
zipper and soft leather, while beautiful, just isn't functional for me.
Guess I'm getting older and more demanding.

I'm not ready to get rid of my collection of soft and slouchy handbags,
but maybe I've learned enough to stop buying any more. 🙄🙄🙄
I really appreciate the details you put into your posts, about the type of bags you are looking and what works for you. It’s those details one tends to gloss over when buying.

LJ, you’ve said in your posts you’ve been buying from D&B for years now. Do you have any vintage bags in your collection? From what you said about the type of bag you need, the first thing that popped into my head was the vintage AWL Norfolk.

LJ you really inspire me. Knowing what works for you and resisting temptation to get something that’s a great deal, but doesn’t work for you, is a lesson you have taught me. Thank you.
Knowing and following thru are 2 different things. 🤣🤣🤣
I can easily be carried away by the beauty of a bag, the leather, the
style, or the color. Add a great sale price to the mix, and common
sense seems to go on vacation.
Nighttime shopping can be very dangerous.... even from the
supposed safety of my home.

I don't think I have any truly vintage. Although some of my early pebbled leather
Dooneys from the 1990's may qualify. Back in those days I think I bought mainly
hobos. There are probably a few buried in the closet. I never gave them away
and I don't resell my handbags. I seem to remember a red pebbled leather crescent
shaped shoulder bags and a bone small hobo. I don't know if either were AWL.

That Norfolk is cute!

I do my BEST shopping at night and sometimes wear my sunglasses * in my Corey Hart voice*

the handbag masters are trying to tell me not to order this bag. It's
always sold out when I check. Clearly not meant for me...
or is it the challenge they are setting up to convince me to buy
yet another bag that's not the best
function for me? The quest continues. Challenge accepted! 🤣🤣🤣
