Last of the 2023 12 days of Dooney holiday sale.
the UPS man just delivered the last of my holiday haul and I made sure to go out and thank him and wish him a blessed week before he got back in his truck.

lets get into these goodies…….

Dooney and Bourke medium toggle crossbody in Bordeaux has really impressed me. This bag is a really nice size. Not too big, not too small. Will make a nice weekend errand bag. It’s got a shallow zip back pocket that will hold my phone. It’s slim so it will lay well against the body. It will fit over or under my huge down winter coat. It has a 3 part strap so it can be worn short shoulder or crossbody, and I like that. The leather is beautiful but again it’s thinner than the Florentine that I’m used to. I’m not complaining at all about the thin leather on this bag. It’s absolutely gorgeous. At $129 this is a very welcome addition to my collection. If you see this at this price, get it I think it’s well worth it.

The Florentine long zip around wristlets in Bordeaux and Brown tmoro were included in the 12 days of Dooney holiday sale for $65. Very generous sized wallets. Makes a very nice gift. At this price well worth adding to my collection.

The Florentine small coin cases were in the previnous sale in october for $25. This item makes a great stocking stuffer and these two didn’t make it to the gift pile. I have kept these two and put them under the tree along with the matching wallets and bags, TO ME FROM THE DOG…


I AM VERY HAPPY WITN MY LAST 2023 purchases from Dooney and Bourke.
Im not sure if this batch of leather in brown tmoro and Bordeaux were just thin, or if this is what the ‘NEW‘ Florentine will be like in the future. The next sale after Christmas, I will drive to the store so that I can feel, and smell, everything before any more purchases. again I’m not complaining just stating this leather feels thin. Gotta keep the store open…

dagnabit I forgot I got 4 duck stickers in my box, but I already taped the boxes up and put them under the tree already 🙃🍄👋

THE TOSCANA WEB STRAP HAS DEFEATED THE BUCKLEY’S THIN STRAP!

Yes, the hardware is silver, the Flo leather ends are burgundy, and the strap color is brown-ish. The thick canvas strap distributes the weight of the Buckley perfectly; I’m able to wear the bag as a crossbody. No sliding down of the strap. No moving the bag from shoulder to shoulder. This strap is what the designers should have put on this massive bag.

I anoint thee Toscana, as patron saint of all canvas straps.

I'll have to pull out my Toscana strap and let it earn it's keep.
I'll bet it will improve the carry of lots of handbags.... crossbody
and shoulder straps. Sometimes I just need a temporary break
when I'm hand carrying a bag.

Yes! I am so glad to have found this strap. Shoutout to @RuedeNesle for her input on the strap. What a difference this strap makes with these larger bags.

If you have that strap in your collection, I highly suggest to use it on your larger bags. Even if you want to hand carry, just roll it up and put it in your bag. That way it’s there if you need a break and free hands.

I'm still resisting adding another Flo twist strap hobo. to my collection.
Beautiful handbag and now at a great price. But... I've come to accept
that I need a handbag I can open and close
with one hand and where the top is structured enough to stay
open and provide easy access... A SATCHEL!

I have far too many
slouchy handbags in my collection, and every time I use them,
it's frustrating for me. Yesterday I was in the Flo Medium Satchel
Crossbody in light taupe. Beautiful handbag and I used it as a
hand carry with 2 parts of the 3 part strap. But due to the slouchy nature,
I had to set it down on a surface to open the top (using 2 hands) and
try to get things in and out. The opening is wide enough, but the fold over
zipper and soft leather, while beautiful, just isn't functional for me.
Guess I'm getting older and more demanding.

I'm not ready to get rid of my collection of soft and slouchy handbags,
but maybe I've learned enough to stop buying any more. 🙄🙄🙄

You could always just add your web strap and leave the twist strap for decor, or just cut it off
