Here is a size comparison between the new satchel 30 in Bordeaux that’s on sale now, the Cameron, and the small satchel. Not my pics just a size comparison. BEAUTIFUL BAG! the color is stunning.
YES the bag looks gorgeous in the bordeaux. All are beautiful bags & it's a super comparison. Makes me think of the black black Cameron I still have on the brain tho. I adore the double zippers on the ones I do have.

i couldn’t wait to get home for the unboxing.
The 2 large zip around wristlets came as well today. THEY ARE HUGE! I was not prepared for how big they are. Beautiful wallets, smooth all over and match perfectly with any brown tmoro and bordeaux bags in my collection. They both came shrink wrapped in boxes, I guess for gift giving. I really like that they were in boxes. No scratches no pebbling no veining. The zipper tape on the wallets coordinate with the bags in my collection. My iPhone 12 Pro Max fits in the wallet and zips up fine. That’s awesome…
now let’s talk about the Florentine satchel 38. It is beautiful. I have a few issues with this bag…

1. the leather feels thin. Doesn’t feel like the Florentine I’m used to. the handles are rolled with no whip stitch detail and they are pliable. this is the only bag I have with plain rolled handles so I don’t know if it’s normal for them to be so pliable.
2. the opening is small, like the small satchel. I don’t like that at all. The shape of this bag reminds me of the stanwich satchel. My iPad fits but I would have to maneuver it to get it in and out of the bag. This bag is comparable in size to the medium(largest flo satchel) I compared it to my birthday bag, large flo satchel in navy and they are very close in size, 14 inches long. This Florentine satchel 38 is light, I guess because there’s less hardware and the leather is thinner.
3. I’m concerned about the bumper corners. They are so sharp I’ll have to be mindful about hitting things and rubbing walls and such.
4. I’m not sure if the feet will protect the belly, middle of the bottom. There’s not a panel, no real structure on the bottom of the bag. If items are heavy the bag might dip down inbetween the feet.

this bag has a 3 part strap. Standard dooney set up with the red cotton/ twill interior. The red/maroon zipper tape and edge seal really make this bag look so elegant. I think I will enjoy this bag. I wrapped it back up after my video and put it under the tree.
Was worth the sale price $232.

I will hold off on any judgement about this new Florentine leather until the medium toggle comes on Saturday. At this point, either I will go to the store for any new Florentine so that I can feel it, or I’ll go for the older thick thick florentine on the secondary market. This new Florentine is just not the same.

Sorry you're not too happy with the bag... but glad you love your new wallets. They always box those up nicely. Wish they would go back to packing up their bags as well as they used to ship them.

I’m ok with the bag. It’s beautiful. Just have those few concerns. I think if the leather felt thick like Clayton, or domed satchel I would be ecstatic. I’m happy it was on sale and I’m going to be positive and be glad it’s lighter in weight. I can carry It more often. I’m glad I didn’t get the flo satchel 30 as it would be way small. I’m gonna be glad because it’s beautiful and the dog has good taste and gives good gifts. I wont be sending it back. LOL

Those wallets really caught me off guard in the best way. Well worth the sale price and I’m happy I was able to get both. I’m also happy I got all those coin cases that were on sale which ‘were’ going to be stocking stuffers. 2 of those wont make it. They will be under the tree in the boxes with the coordinating wallet.LOL

I’ve seen this being said for the AWL 3.0 too. And the AWL 3.0 satchel is the only one with the whip stitch handles. That 1 of the main reasons, I haven’t bought anything yet. If I’m going to spend the $$$, I want my bag to have those handles.

This was also something I saw mentioned about the AWL 3.0 “domed” satchel.

The sale price was good for the mini satchel. You can always trek back to the store and hand pick it. Gotta keep the store in business LOL too bad they didn’t have that drawstring there…
after Christmas, I might make a run there and see what’s new. I’ll always call and see what extra discounts are offered. Anytime it’s 20% extra off and above it’s worth the drive to me.

The Dipinta has the whipstitched handles. I'm glad you pointed out the whipstitching as it's something I hadn't noticed gone on so many.
