Dooney FLORENTINE Clubhouse!!

I always sarcastically tell my children, I guess I'm not young enough to know everything like you.
Have faith... eventually most children realize their parents are really smart
and have always been. It often takes a while. My parents said I started arguing
from the time I could talk (about 6 months of age). I always knew they were smart,
but it wasn't until I was about 40 that I accepted the fact that they were right
most of the time! 😮

Ordered these beauties yesterday from iLoveDooney. Surprised they came today, must have shipped from the Connecticut warehouse. Now I wish I had just grabbed one in every color for the coin case. I hope they restock the Ecru in all accessories. That color is so hard to get, and it sells out fast.

Just incase it's hard to tell in the photo, the top two are Navy and the bottom left is Black.

WOW fast shipping! I love the red contrast. I've been eyeing that Allison bag in the navy color. You mentioned the Ecru color too, and with the red contrast, I'm really loving it. I found a (discontinued) Flo crossbody for sale in the color Ecru, and I really really like the color.

Another lady said she got the Bordeaux and she said she sent it back because the color was blotchy and uneven like it didn’t take in some areas of the bag during the tanning process.
I'm one the customers who got a wrecked bordeaux Cameron from ILD. The dye job so sorry it couldn't have been GIVEN away. I am not purchasing any more florentine items from ILD.

So I was able to purchase my aunts Christmas gift during the 12 days of Dooney sale. They didn’t have the Carmel color at the Aurora store when I went on Black Friday. It was meant to be since they will ship direct to her door. Great price for the set. I hope she likes them and gets much use out of them. I can post here because I KNOW she’s not on here…
and of course while buying her gift I snagged something too. I missed this item when it was on sale in teal. I went ahead and snagged it in Bordeaux. The price was right, no sleeping on it… on Ild eBay the price went up to $289 and it was gone…

I’ve been going back and forth on that toggle bag & Allison bag too.

Would you mind explaining how this handled by D&B? - I’m only asking because I’ve read D&B customer service is awful.
In my experience, if you process a return on Dooney or ILD thru their site,
the process works just fine. You fill out the form, print it and the return label and
take the package to UPS. If you marked the item defective Dooney will examine
it and decide if they will return your return shipping cost. If not, the return shipping
will be deducted from your refund.

Sometimes you have to follow up on the return shipping refund. I've been
most successful thru online chat. But sometimes, like if you just don't
like the texture of the bag or uneven pebbling, they will say that's not a defect.
Getting your return shipping refunded is not automatic. But it shouldn't stop
you from returning an item... just know up front that online purchases are not
a way to get a free look see at an item. Even QVC charges for returns these
days, unless the item is damaged or defective.

In any event, don't leave the return until the end of the return period and especially
during the holidays, send an item back as soon as possible. I usually send an
item back within a few days of getting it. Sometimes I have to do an online chat
to get the return label, since the system doesn't even reflect the delivery yet.
I don't wait. My bottom line, if you follow their rules, Dooney and ILD are
credible and trustworthy companies to deal with. I've always gotten my refund
for returned items or for an item that was out of stock.

You heard right. I have spent time dickering with ILD in the past - time wasted in numerous phone calls, on hold, cut off, etc. with different measures of success. I'm not willing to go thru those stages of frustration anymore. In this instance I just sent the Cameron back with the reason clearly stated & that return shipping charges should not be deducted from return. I Love Dooney took the charge out anyway - which was no surprise. CS flatly does not care. I just won't buy any florentine from them again.

Thank you for sharing your experience. This is relieving to read - just in case. I feel like online chat is the way to go with a lot of this online shopping. I buy a lot on Thredup, and while they say purse sales are final - that isn’t the case. If the item isn’t as described, do a live chat, and they’ll allow you to return the purse.
