I’m wondering if this is why the 30 & 38 are in ILD … 🤨
They’re on ild ild eBay and dooney.com
it’s a beautiful bag but if they’re shipping them looking like this no thank you
this is the 30 so I wonder if the 38 is like this too. She said the white stuff is called bloom…
I wonder will it buff off, is it sticky, does it smell?? Where does it come from and will it ever happen to my Florentine? Is it preventable? If you can get it off, will it come back? Is it permanent once it’s there?
inquiring minds what to know

It freaking snowed yesterday on my Ivy mini….DAGNABIT! A couple spots appeared and stayed. Conditioned it when I got home and I can’t really tell it had snow spots. First 2 pics before conditioning, last 2 after conditioning…

NOT MY PHOTO BUT….
this is one of the new Florentine satchel 30 in brown tmoro… what are your thoughts?
im looking like how could you justify shipping this to someone? She said it had a white coating on it and the back is just atrocious! So what the bag is on sale for the holidays….
someone else said their bag came in the SAME condition and she immediately sent it back and re- ordered…
if they had this at the outlet and it looked good I would have considered this style, the smaller of the newest Florentine satchels…
just shaking my head. Please zoom in and LOOK AT THIS!
I like the style. But if the bags are in that condition they shouldn't be sent out.
At least at the outlet someone can inspect it and decide if the sale is worth it or not.
I wonder if there was a problem in the tanning process?

Glad your new Ivy mini survived the snow scare. Dark Florentine colors are much more
resilient in my experience.

Another lady said she got the Bordeaux and she said she sent it back because the color was blotchy and uneven like it didn’t take in some areas of the bag during the tanning process.

And here she is! Hubby had the package on the counter when I got home. My word she is gorgeous. she is NWT and in factory wrap. i got her at a VERY good price to be a new bag. This leather is more textured than any of my collection and I’m anxious to see how I like it. So far she seems a great size. I will condition before wearing as the snowflake spots scared me. Was snowing a bit when I left work but stopped as I got home.

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Small Sloan in the color Bordeaux. Absolutely beautiful bag and it’s definitely NOT small. love The twist strap and tassel zipper pull.

Thanks Rue. Sun is out today but it’s sooooooo cold. I’m happily surprised how beautiful she is, the sellers pics didn’t do her justice
I'm glad you got another winner. I love the Bordeaux color. Enjoy carrying your new
beauty.

I'm wondering how the Sloan and the Twist Strap Hobo differ? Anyone know? The overall shape is the same, both have the twist strap and a zipper top. Is it the strap color that is different between the collections or the way the bottom of the bag is constructed or the measurements of the bags?

Let's talk about texture.... I pulled out a Natural Florentine Perry Satchel to use
this weekend for the first time. I've had it for a while. I noticed the leather
is very thick and structured (perfect for the Perry tote like style). The leather also
has an overall fine pebbled texture. I haven't
conditioned the bag. I'm assuming that over time the leather will soften.
The texture should prevent a lot of surface scratching. But right now the bag
is missing that lux Florentine feel.

My BFF revoked my Illinois Card when I moved here and complained about how cold it was. I told het it's not winter in Chicago cold but it's still cold. (By the way, yesterday morning when I was driving my youngest GDD to school, I had to use the coffee top from the Starbucks cup my DD left in the car to scrape the ice off the front window. It got that cold but my Illinois friends have no sympathy. )
