Right?! I’ve seen so many fake D&B on PM! A few weeks ago, I saw what was probably the worst fake D&B ever. The fake AWL logo was sewn onto the buckle. And on the AWL logo, “weather” was spelled wrong. I was like wtf is this Frankenstein bag?!

I got one of those Frankenstein bags. I think it was my 2nd purchase, so it made Poshmark look rrrealy bad. CS was good about my refund tho, although I see she's still has an account. It was a zebra wristlet and it had HAIR. Yes, HAIR. Hair that shed! Ewwww!

I was ok on ban island until the BLACKFRIDAY sale.
Then, without an escape plan, I just lept off the island and
into the clutches of ILD.
Before my commonsense caught up to me I had ordered
2 Alto handbags and 1 Florentine.

I went back for another Florentine 2 days later.
And I'm still drooling over the bright blue and bright pink pouches.
I do not need anymore SLGs (or handbags for that matter), but pretty
colors are like catnip to me.
And not one of the 4 bags I bought is a 'pretty' color.
They are all dark and neutral.... black, dark grey, navy.
Classic, blah, blah, blah.... but still I couldn't pass them up.
A good sale is a strong temptation.
I sometimes think I would be better off buying only 1 or 2 handbags
at full price rather than saving so much money on so many.
Good thing I don't have to explain or justify my spending to
anyone!

Regretting not purchasing the Alto Piera now that the sale on ILD ended. Did you receive yours yet? I like the look of it but know it will be really tiny which was my struggle. The $230 price was a factor, too. While it was nearly 50% off the $230 could buy a large pebbled bag that I would probably use more. But alto is such a special bag…ugh! I keep telling myself I can buy the pebble now and hopefully the alto will be on sale for the same price Thanksgiving week. Do you have a review you can share, please?

Yes, I got the Alto Piera satchel and it's a keeper. It's small, but not tiny because it

has a wide base. By old time standards it's a medium sized satchel. Of course it's too

small for my normal carry, but I can downsize a little bit and it will work for

dinners out or multiple social occasions.

Alto bags are expensive, no question about it. For some reason I am obsessed with

owning them, even tho I don't reach for them very often. I like the leather and the

elegant styling (in general). But I have to say in the last few years I have

not been very attracted to the newer Alto styles. The Piera is one of the

few that really caught my attention.

Watch for sales, and each time check out the Alto.

You never know when you will find a great price.... but...

you have to decide how much an Alto is worth it to you.

And with the higher and higher list prices, even 50% off

(which is a great discount for an Alto) can still result in a

high price tag.

Oh ya'll I'm just tickled to death with what came in the mail today! The Dipinta in natural - and you guys are the first to see it! It's perfect - my phone camera really doesn't even do it justice. I'm changing right into it tonight! The dark Dipinta has turned into a project I never get around to so until I do, the natural Dip it is! BTW, I have a 20% wallet coupon if anyone needs it.

It’s absolutely stunning. I’m so glad it came in perfect condition. Just curious if the paint makes it smell or feel differently than regular Florentine leather

I love it! It’s such a unique looking bag. And the colors make it pop! Very eye catching.

What do you think of the mail satchel? That bag is also in my watchlist.

Also, what is the Diptina line about? I saw they also did this with the large Duck bag.

In answer to whether it feels different than the florentine we're accustomed to - yes. Our florentine bags are dyed & the color penetrates into the leather. This bag is painted and paint sits on top of leather so naturally there's going to be a different feel. It's all good if you don't expect one to feel like the other. I've never carried this shape satchel but I believe I'll like it. You get a better vision inside the bag due to the upward curve than you do with the straight across flo satchel. 😁 And yes the leather smells yummy!

Lilly: don't let the handles rest against the body of the bag when you are storing it.
Since the surface of the bag is painted, if there is pressure from the handles
it may lift off the paint on the bag and damage the look.
I often wrap the handles/straps of bags with tissue paper so that if they
end up pressed against the side of the bag they won't bond and take off any
of the color of the bag or deposit any color from the handle or glazing.

I love the shape of this bag. The opening is every-thing. You can see everything and access everything very easily. It’s more east west and very roomy because of the pleats on the front and back. It’s really beautiful. Let us know how it carries for you. I love that you got both for your collection. That sale was awesome…

I mentioned that there was a HUGE black Florentine I was eyeing. I wanted to use it as my laptop bag. I’m using my Tilton as my laptop bag now, and I’m happy with that. This Huge bag is still available and I’ve been sleeping on it…. Then I see something else I have been wanting to try. Ooooh boy I’m excited……
