They have a coach rehab thread in the coach forum. I’m sure there’s plenty of handy tips there. From what I’ve seen of the before and after pics, I’m like gtfoh! That is NOT the same bag. Really nice rehabs
Oh I've been in there. Ink marks are the devil. LOL

Yup, watching rehabs of vintage coach bags is amazing. I was watching a lot of tiktoks to find out what I needed. And MFW I heard about people dunking their purses. Like legit submerging them in water. Apparently that's what Coach initially recommended to clean their bags, water and Dawn soap.

Maybe I'll start up a Dooney Beauty Parlour thread LMAO

I completely cleaned up the Kilty bag I got.
I did submerge the strap to help reshape it.

Yes! That would be amazing! @mushroomNgrass I loved watching before i knew it was her. We need and love the OG Dooneynistas like you and Suz, Ivana, PTB...Ange etc
I watch them all and drool at the beautiful colors from back in the day. I love they describe the bags and do comparisons. It’s so awesome to see unboxings and hauls…

speaking of hauls, just espi on you tube did a coach haul video . IT WAS EPIC! i have never ever ever ever seen a haul like that. The video is long but so worth watching. Nobody can ever say they have a haul after watching that haul video. She still didn’t bring me to the coach dark side…. I wish I could do a dooney haul like that. She does Dooney LV and other designer bags. I started watching her dooney haul. Then I just happened to see this MONSTER HAUL. I’m still speechless

I have a few vintage coach that could use some rehabbing… no ink spots tho.
I did see one lady clean her Florentine she got second hand. I think is was fern or moss green and the bag looked great when she was finished

So back to the Florentine… got a package delivered today with the second medium wristlet from ebay, this one in chestnut. It’s beautiful and I think I’ll use it instead of the navy for my keys. The navy was in immaculate condition and I will place her in my birthday navy large satchel. I keep the wristlet straps in my purse in case I need it. otherwise they fit in my uniform pockets and coat pockets nicely. I LOVE rubbing them it’s very comforting, as opposed to the pebbled leather one I was using. If the plate wasn’t digging into my leg, I wouldn’t have got these. I’m glad I did get them tho.

My new to me mini Flo in natural. She has the perfect amount of patina and the old-school bottom. Love this size, so very much lighter than my small! I cleaned her with some Leather CPR and she was rather dirty, but very clean inside.

Enjoy your new Flo mini. The mini is a great size satchel. Not at all mini, really a
roomy medium sized handbag. And yes, much lighter than the small (next size up).
I started my Flo collection with mini satchels. Then I seemed to need more space
(carried more junk, I guess) so I started buying the small.

I love the feel of fine leather accessories. I used to carry a leather portfolio to meetings.
When things got stressful, I would enjoy the feel of the leather. Much better than getting
antsy when the meeting drones on and on or someone comes up with a silly idea.

Enjoy your new Flo wristlet. I love the look of coordinated handbags and accessories.

The Hattie is not the small. It was the only size I've seen on ILD over the years.
My guess is medium. It's just called the Hattie. It's fairly large.

As for the logo lock.... I have not had a problem with it.
BUT.... I do not shoulder carry, so I am not putting any stress/weight on the
lock/strap at an angle. My theory is that over time the leather softens and
when the bag is slung over the shoulder the lock moves to a position where
the uneven weight causes it to open. Since I hand or arm carry, the weight
is evenly distributed and the lock doesn't slide around. I'm still a little concerned
about it. Also, I rotate bags so my Hatties (2) haven't gotten enough wear
for the leather to soften yet.
Agreed LJ. I have the Hattie in Taupe & my only gripe is the logo lock. It was a bag idea putting that heavy thing on the end of a strap.

Lambskin Carrington:
It looks better in the pictures than it does IRL. (That's why you need to be careful when you purchase something on ebay or Poshmark. Read additional information from the seller or ask questions.) But you can still see the white marks, stain (don't know from what), and scratches especially if you zoom in. I tried with the flash but it hid the marks even more. But I still use it for travel. It holds extra meds, lipsticks, etc.

Oh, now I understand. Someone was hard on it before. The only plus is at least you don't have to baby it, but it's just such a disappointment when the item is represented. I always said I'd not order used but in the last 3 yrs I broke that rule. I ordered 3 flo Savannah bags & now I'm right back to "I'll never order used".

Has anyone noticed that a lot of the florentine bags in natural have the tiger stripes? I ordered 3 natural florentine bags from the Dooney website and each one has significant tiger stripes on the bags. I also noticed some striping on a chestnut florentine bag that just came in as well. Anyone else experiencing this?

oh yes. The stretch marks, tiger stripes are more noticeable on the natural. I have some on my chestnut domed crossbody I got from the outlet, and on the back my navy Tilton that I just got.from dooney.com. I don’t mind them on the back, but on the entire front, meh
also I had a little corner of veining on my zip pod backpack in navy. The dark blue color kinda makes them less noticeable but looking at it in certain lighting it’s more noticeable. Not a deal breaker to me. I have stretch marks and accept the cows stretch marks…
