Lambskin Carrington:
It looks better in the pictures than it does IRL. (That's why you need to be careful when you purchase something on ebay or Poshmark. Read additional information from the seller or ask questions.) But you can still see the white marks, stain (don't know from what), and scratches especially if you zoom in. I tried with the flash but it hid the marks even more. But I still use it for travel. It holds extra meds, lipsticks, etc.

So it was already scratched up when you got it? I’ve gotten $35 offers to buy a lamb skin Carrington like this, but they had dents and the dents didn’t look like they would come out. Can the scratches be buffed out of lamb skin. I’m not well versed in lamb skin so I have no idea how to take care of it. All I do k ow is that it’s beautiful and very soft leather.

I can tell the difference feeling that bag and my large chestnut satchel
I can definitely see and feel the difference between the dome and the Barlow. The Barlow is much softer, and benefits from a rolled up towel inside to keep it from slouching.

I believe your orange is that old thick thick Florentine.
Thanks for the insight here. I had no idea about the different leather used in the flo satchels. The dome is pretty thick and sturdy. It doesn’t need much stuffing to keep it upright, and doesn't slouch. I think you’re right about this being the old thick leather.

Here’s another pic in natural light to showcase the orange.

I received my first Poshmark order. Never ordered from there before. It was like the stars aligned, when this Poshmark seller listed her bags for phenomenal prices. LOL

The domed satchel is orange, it really looks natural but darker (if that makes sense). I didn’t even realize it was orange until I got it, and looked at the listing. I thought it was natural. It’s cool though, it could pass for a darker patina. The leather is kinda stiff yet, and needs to be shaped a bit. But I really like this bag A LOT. It’s an eye catcher. There’s so much room inside. And the little pocket on the backside of the purse.

The large zip Barlow is (what I’m guessing by snooping around the D&B site) maybe their denim color, or teal..? I love all the pockets and compartments this bag has. And the zippers on the side, is very unique for this bag. I really like it.

Gorgeous!! Your Orange Domed satchel is just stunning. I like the deeper shade. Rare find! I'm in my denim barlow today. It's a great bag. Enjoy these treasures!

She’s lovely! And I really need to get some coach key chains.
Leather CPR FTW!!!

What do you mean by old school bottom?
The old school bottom was round, the belting went all around the bottom of the bag as opposed to the satchels we have that have a flat leather bottom panel. First pic it the older bottom of the Florentine satchel. Second pic is the new current bottom

My Clipa came. This is a fabulous little accessory. Genius in design. Easy to use. Pry it open, place it where you want it, put your bag on the other end of the hook and voila…. Says. Holds 33 pounds and I will be testing that claim. When not in use it can hook around the bag handle or inside a pocket. I wish I thought of this. it’s really simple and elegant looking. Thanks for telling me about this @RuedeNesle

Mine came too! I LOVE it! Used it at the salon today. Thanks to @RuedeNesle

Yes. I got the Dipinta mail satchel in t'moro. I'm happy with it except for a couple of things. One of the leather loops holding the handle ring on the front is bare, no paint at all which looks odd. The other issue is the shipping. I believe it was a return as the tassels were not wrapped & were all misshapen when I receive it. I got it on sale so I'm keeping it & will attempt to put a little acrylic paint on the bare leather loop. Crossing my fingers on that! You can't see the loop in this pic but I will take better pics later.

That orange is stunning and very rare. I haven’t seen any orange Florentine as I’m perusing the sites. It’s absolutely beautiful. Did you try the leather wipes on the bottom?

Thanks! It is very soft. I'm sorry for the confusion. I bought it new on ILD. (I called the Livermore outlet first, they said they weren't selling them. A day after I ordered it I had a chance to drive to the outlet and guess what I saw? Yep! The Carrington pouch in red!)
When I mentioned being careful on Poshmark and Ebay it was only because my pictures don't show it as bad as it really is. Someone may be willing to buy it based on the pictures and be disappointed when they receive it.
I don't think they're the type of scratches that can be buffed out. Maybe a leather conditioner like @KiltyR45 suggested.

My new to me mini Flo in natural. She has the perfect amount of patina and the old-school bottom. Love this size, so very much lighter than my small! I cleaned her with some Leather CPR and she was rather dirty, but very clean inside.

She is so pretty! Something special about the Natural satchels.

Clipas for everyone! I’m giving them as stocking stuffers this year. A perfect gift that someone wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves, but will definitely use It.
That's a great idea! Speaking of stocking stuffers....yes I bought out the colors :giggle: These are for my nieces at college for keys, my hair stylist loves to keep her tips in them etc. Navy is mine. I love the navy in this. I would ruin Ecru in two seconds lol

Bordeaux looks red here but it's not. My red accessories wear pretty well but in general yeah I use the darker tones more in my handbags. Reaching for them alot and stains was a good point.20231014_185458.jpg
