Which size Hattie did you get? Small, medium or large? Have you had any issues with the logo lock on the side? Its a beautiful bag, but when I saw people crazy gluing it, it didn’t interest me anymore.
The Hattie is not the small. It was the only size I've seen on ILD over the years.
My guess is medium. It's just called the Hattie. It's fairly large.

As for the logo lock.... I have not had a problem with it.
BUT.... I do not shoulder carry, so I am not putting any stress/weight on the
lock/strap at an angle. My theory is that over time the leather softens and
when the bag is slung over the shoulder the lock moves to a position where
the uneven weight causes it to open. Since I hand or arm carry, the weight
is evenly distributed and the lock doesn't slide around. I'm still a little concerned
about it. Also, I rotate bags so my Hatties (2) haven't gotten enough wear
for the leather to soften yet.

I received my first Poshmark order. Never ordered from there before. It was like the stars aligned, when this Poshmark seller listed her bags for phenomenal prices. LOL

The domed satchel is orange, it really looks natural but darker (if that makes sense). I didn’t even realize it was orange until I got it, and looked at the listing. I thought it was natural. It’s cool though, it could pass for a darker patina. The leather is kinda stiff yet, and needs to be shaped a bit. But I really like this bag A LOT. It’s an eye catcher. There’s so much room inside. And the little pocket on the backside of the purse.

The large zip Barlow is (what I’m guessing by snooping around the D&B site) maybe their denim color, or teal..? I love all the pockets and compartments this bag has. And the zippers on the side, is very unique for this bag. I really like it.

Awesome poshmark score. They have some nice bags in great condition. I love your domed buckle satchel. Be careful in rain with the orange. Somebody mentioned orange rain spots. Your large zip Barlow is beautiful. Is it heavy?

Oooo thanks for the tip! I did notice some spots on the bag already. And it looks to scratch easily. She’s a beauty that’s for sure. I am reconsidering taking my leather wipes to it; not sure if they will mess with it. I may do the bottom just to see how it takes, and drys.

The Barlow is not heavy at all. I really like the inside canvas material; it feels very thick & heavy duty.

Congrats on your first Poshmark order and the beautiful bag(s) you received! (Were both from Poshmark?) I'm so happy you're happy with an orange bag if you were expecting natural. It's a beautiful orange and perfect for fall. I have an orange/red (more orange than red) Bitsy bag that I would carry more if it was just a little bigger. (Hmmm...maybe I should pack it for my trip tomorrow. It would be a nice size going out for a meal bag.)
Enjoy both your beauties!

Thanks Rue for the lambskin info. I've got a red one stored that I need to inspect.
Lambskin Carrington:
It looks better in the pictures than it does IRL. (That's why you need to be careful when you purchase something on ebay or Poshmark. Read additional information from the seller or ask questions.) But you can still see the white marks, stain (don't know from what), and scratches especially if you zoom in. I tried with the flash but it hid the marks even more. But I still use it for travel. It holds extra meds, lipsticks, etc.

When the Domed Satchel was originally introduced, back in the day,
Florentine bags were available in lots of colors. I bought a Domed Flo
Satchel in Teal. I miss seeing the rainbow of Florentine colors ... especially
on QVC. The Dooney boutiques were more limited, and there was no ILD
back then.

As for red Florentine.... I personally find it one of the more finicky colors.
I usually buff a new Flo bag with a clean, dry, white cloth when it arrives.
Red dye always comes off on the cloth. And there is even more color
'transfer'? if I use a wet cloth or leather conditioner. I don't know what it
is about the red. I've never had this happen with any other color of Flo
handbag.

The buffing action on a Flo handbag is supposed to bring the oils to the surface
of the leather and blend out scratches. I've seen them use the Dooney dust bags to do
that (in Dooney stores), but for lighter color handbags, I'd rather use a white cloth. I don't want to run the risk of the dust bag darkening the handbag.

I've also found that the smoother the Florentine leather the more easily it will show
scratches. More pebbled Florentine leather seems to be more resistant to surface
scratches. At least that is what I have noticed.

The orange color reminds me of the cognac color on the vintage dooneys.

Thank you! I’m very happy with both bags. They’re gorgeous.

Yes both from Poshmark & from the same seller. I put 2 in my cart to bundle, and forgot about it LOL. I got an amazing discounted offer from her for both, and I clicked submit. From the pix on the listing, the bag looked natural. But seller did mark the bag as orange in the listing. I just noticed the color difference when I took it out of the bag. And it just looks like a darker patina. I really like the color, and it’s unique. I did notice the leather is stiffer, so I’m wondering if it’s the dye. She sent me an offer for her Bordeaux tote I liked, and I’m biting my nails. SERENITY NOW! LOL

For the Florentine experts here, does the rare color dye (aqua, pale blue, pink, etc) make the leather stiffer?

About a month ago, I bought a red coach Quincey #9919 from goodwill. Couldn’t pass up the $12.99 price tag LOL. Anywho, she was in need of some deep TLC. Scratched, ink marks, leather dry. I cleaned it up with Fieblings saddle soap, and leather CPR conditioner. This brought the red bag back to life. I would like to do this again more thoroughly, and use more conditioner. Maybe this would help your clutch. Although, I’m unfamiliar if this could be used for lambskin …?

No, I haven't noticed that the dye color makes the leather stiffer. I would attribute that to the thickness of the leather and/or the dryness. Of course it is possible that different
batches of leather reacted differently to different batches of natural dyes.

When I got my fern domed buckle satchel it was stiff. I thought maybe because it was never carried, but now it think it because it’s that older thick thick Florentine leather. The leather feels sooooo thick. I can tell the difference feeling that bag and my large chestnut satchel, and the new large navy satchel fron the outlet. Even my new Tilton does not feel as thick as the domed buckle and large chestnut. I believe your orange is that old thick thick Florentine. If I could get all my bags in that older leather, I would. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It’s unreal how thick it is. I’m sure with regular usage, the leather will soften. my fern buckle satchel doesn’t get regular usage, but my chestnut does. So I’ll be able to see if it softens over time. I like the stiffness in both bags. The large chestnut satchel is still like I first opened it. I can’t wait to see its shiny patina.
