So
@lavenderjunkie have you carried any of your red bags and got caught in the rain? Did they water spot stain? And can you describe the red patina as you’ve had them over the years? Are they less vibrant?
@RuedeNesle do you have red Florentine wristlets/ wallets that you handle constantly? If so how is the patina? From your earlier example I see your Toscana satchel sings in the rain. I’m wondering is it the same for red Florentine?
My red bags haven't gotten enough use to show patina.
As for rain and other spots.... my red Flo Russel has some spots and I don't know where
they came from. I don't remember being caught in the rain, but they could be
water from hand washing drips. My red Toscana (supposedly part of the Florentine
collection) also has a spot. I know that one was from hand washing.
The spots are aged. They happened years ago and haven't faded.
My black and navy Florentine bags have been caught in the rain and have
no visible spots. Personally, I'm afraid that any other color (except darkest
brown) Florentine will show water spots. Maybe on the palest colors
the spots won't show???? But I think midtone colors are
vulnerable. I know others show videos of drenched natural Flo bags
returning to pristine condition. I'm happy for them. But skeptical....
maybe it has to do with chemicals in the water or air in my area?
