I have 1 small Dooney D/S, it's an Ostrich embossed leather. And yes, it's small.
I can just pack my stuff inside (standing up), but I really like a bag with more room.
I won't be buying another small D/S.
The small Logan however isn't small. There must have been a larger size one,
although I never saw it. I have not trouble getting my stuff in the small Logan.
If you measure your cell phone, I'll measure my old one (which is large) and then make sure it fits. I don't remember having any trouble, but I'll double check if you want.

The usable space of handbags depends not only on the dimensions, but also how much
of the space is usable. In some bags with snap closures, like the Brenna and Barlow,
and the small Russel,
I find the upper portion of the bag isn't really usable. So for me, the bags hold less
than if they had zip closures across the top. I don't like to leave bags open
at the top since I don't want to have to hunt for my things when the bag
falls off the seat (which it often does).

Also a structured bag will hold less than a soft unstructured one.
Often hobos, like the Twist Strap Hobo
or the Flo satchels hold a lot of stuff even those with narrower bases,
since the sides expand to fit your things, even if you lose space
folding over the top.
I just tested out my Steel Blue Russell vs this one. This black one holds more up to the top when i stuffed it and snapped it closed. Total Usable space winner

I did get a bubble gum florentine wallet from TU. (sighs) TU described it as in "excellent condition" LMAO!!! It was absolutely filthy when I received it and there's some water stains on it. They offered to let me return it, but I really liked the color. Plus, I grabbed it with a bunch of credits and literally paid $7 + their shipping for it. I decided to keep it, and try to clean it up. This color is not one to easily clean, that's for sure. I got some of those leather wipes, and tried it in a small section on the inside, it came out fine. I used the rest all over the wallet, and it cleaned up, it's definitely brighter. But what you said about the leather fragility, is dead on.

What wipes do you use? You did a great job on this.

Thanks! I used Weiman leather wipes. I was really nervous about cleaning this up because of the pink color. I used 2 wipes to clean it up. I recommend just going real light over the surface of the leather, in a wax on/wax off kinda way . I did notice a bit of the pink dye on the wipe. But it cleaned and brightened up the wallet from what it was.

Thank you for doing this! Yes, this was my point a few posts ago. They are both beautiful truly, but as I have lots of black, I want my 1st Navy bag to have the blue tinge.

Buckley is so stunning and unique.
you're welcome. I still can't see the blue in the Buckley except in bright sunlight, even then meh. It's truly beautiful and very fun to carry. I really like the two toned contrast of the navy and tan. I have to make myself move out of it once I start carrying it.

look what I've found... large Logan and it is HUGE.....

WOW. I never saw one before.
Yes, it's huge.
We always have to look at all the measurements,
as Dooney naming is often relative. And an inch or two difference
in measurements can make a huge difference in the size of a handbag.

Things can be small, when compared to something very large.
But by themselves, we might not call them small or even medium...
they are just 'regular' size. And that perception also changes over time
with the fashion and styles we get used to seeing.

It's a stunning color and I love the whip stitch detail. Glad you were able to clean
her up and make her beautiful again. I think wallets are especially vulnerable
to dirt. Not only are they handled a lot, but money is dirty and that transfers onto
the interior of the wallet and your hands. Credit/debit cards aren't as bad if you
are the only one handling them.

Years ago Dooney did a beautiful collection with untreated Vachetta trim.
The inside of the wallets was lined with this pristine, off white leather.
I never bought anything from that collection because untreated Vachetta and
I don't play well together. But whenever I looked at the wallets I wondered
who in their right mind would buy or use a wallet with a light color leather interior.
I think the same thing when I look at Florentine Ecru or bone wallets with
light interiors.

If the leather has a coating or can be easily cleaned (like pebbled leather),
then maybe I can convince myself it's worth it for the look.
But if it's a wallet you plan to use everyday, rather than switch out frequently
to match the handbag, I think we have to think thru how the leather
will handle the dirt.

On a related note, I'm not at all pleased with wallets where the interior is
mainly fabric. Even the red, which isn't a light color, is not easily cleaned.
And fabric will generally wear out more quickly than leather.
I think more thought has to be put into wallet materials/design, not just from a
style/fashion viewpoint.

NOW I CAN SEE WHY THEY CALL IT SMALL LOGAN. MY GOODNESS

The made in America small zip wallet has the red leather in the coin and bill slots

The sign of a great handbag. When you don't want to move out of it :)

I would be nervous too but it turned out great! I like this shade of pink. I have an Ecru coin purse and a Steel blue wristlet and I'm going to get these for when I need them. I am testing out how well I do with Ecru lol. I like darker wallets and cases as I'm a left handed klutz at times. Stains tend to find me.

Thank you for the link!

You're welcome!

Just start in an inconspicuous area of the wallet. I started on the inside, right by the card slots, and waited a few minutes to see if anything funky happened. I also used these to wipe the inside red leathers, and the red leather coin section - that was so filthy.

I'm with you. I prefer the leather interiors on my D&B wallets.
I purchased the multi-color tessuta woven shopper and the matching wallet. I mentioned here at PF that I returned the wallet because the interior made it look cheap. The red interior was really strange compared to my other D&B wallets.
Oops! Someone on PF had the wallet and I had insulted her. I tried to apologize, but it may not have helped. I have tried to be a little better with my opinions on PF since that day.
