Is anyone else going to watch (or in my case, DVR haha)? The premiere is this Friday (2/11) at 9pm on Fox!! I'm the biggest Buffy and Angel fan, and Joss Whedon is a man I'd watch direct snow falling haha... I think he's a genius.

The first season of the show is set to run for 13 episodes... so excited, because after many months, the wait is almost over!!! :yahoo: Eliza Dushku is a really talented actress (season three of Buffy will convince you if you don't believe me)!

A brief summary from wikipedia (yeah, I know it's wikipedia, but it's actually an accurate summary :-p):

In Dollhouse, Eliza Dushku plays a young woman called Echo, a member of a group of people known as "Actives" or "Dolls." The Dolls have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas, including memory, muscle memory, skills, and language, for different assignments. They're then hired out for particular jobs, crimes, fantasies, and occasional good deeds. On missions, Actives are monitored internally (and remotely) by Handlers. In between tasks, they are mind-wiped into a child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/labritory, a hidden facility nicknamed "The Dollhouse". The story follows Echo, who begins, in her mind-wiped state, to become self-aware.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollhouse_(TV_series)#cite_note-Watch_with_Kristin-1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollhouse_(TV_series)#cite_note-PW20080306-2

Beyond Dushku's character, the show will also revolve around the people who run the mysterious "Dollhouse" and two other "Dolls", Victor and Sierra, who are friendly with Echo (the names are simply letters in the phonetic alphabet). Although the Actives are ostensibly volunteers, the operation is highly illegal and under constant threat on one end from Paul Ballard, a determined federal agent who has heard a rumor about the Dolls, and an insane rogue Active on the other.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollhouse_(TV_series)#cite_note-PW20080306-2

I really want to watch this, but after Firefly I just can't risk becoming attached to another Joss Whedon show that Fox will produce and cancel after a few short episodes. Don't know why he continues to work with them.

I excited and wary of this show. But I am going to watch. I've loved everything Josh Whedon has had a hand in! The reviews I've read have made me a little leery - the mind wiped sections should be interesting to watch ( how exciting can it be to watch someone with no memory or knowledge interact). But hey, it's Josh - I'm sure he's thought of something!

I'm cautiously optimistic... I've read alot about the clashing between Joss and Fox over lots of story things...which leads me to believe that the initial odd, misleading previews were Fox's way of editing around just what they wanted to show.. I had trouble getting a real idea of what this show was going to be about and the tone of the show from the trailers they released.. Now I have better idea, but that was so strange to me..

Think i'll download this, wonder if any UK TV has picked it up?
Who is that girl with the blonde hair, did she used to be in Neighbours?

ETA - Yes she did, American TV are just loving their ex-Neighbours actors right now...

Jim aka Alan Dale currently appearing as Charles Widmore in Lost, seems to pop up a lot - 24, Ugly Betty, the list goes on and on.

Vinnie who was actually in Home & Away, oops, in True Blood as Sookies brother, can't remember his character's name now.
Jesse Spencer in House.
ok, i'm struggling now, Holly Valance was in Prison Break...

Guy Pearce was in Neighbours a long time ago as was Russell Crowe.
