Does the vernis turn yellow?

I just checked my Peppermint Bedford and the colour seems to be fine. I got in for Christmas in 2005 but mind you I have only used once (a gift from DH that I can't bring myself to sell even though it's not my style) so it mainly sits in a dustbag on a shelf in my closet. I will be curious to see if it changes colour eventually as this colour was released at the same time as the marshmallow - which I loved!

My perle vernis turned noticeably yellow within 3 years with only roughly 6-7 times of usage. And having complained to LV about the yellowing, I was informed eventually that it was basically my fault -- let's see..the wording was " The condition of the bag was highly due to maintenance and usage".

Gosh...I took such care of this bag...it was always in its dustbag in my cabinet when not in use...and mind, I hardly used this baby (once every half a year at most), and such was the result! It is disappointing to note that even a big brand name like LV has trouble owning up to this yellowing phenomenon that seems pervasive enough to warrant this very thread since 2006.

My vernis is from 2006 and I just noticed that the entire bag has turned yellow. It's been in the closet kept in dust bag for years, I'm so upset. does anyone know if the lv store will fix this?

My daughter bought a baby blue Vernis Bedford from Fashionphile and gifted it to me a few years ago. I didn’t realize that it was originally baby blue as it is a light green color now with some yellowing throughout the bag. The vachetta is in great condition for such an “old” bag. I must say though - I don’t carry this bag unless I want to be noticed! It is a showstopper and I get compliments every time I carry it. A few people threatened to rip it off the crock of my arm. It causes such a sensation (even with the color change) that I’m considering getting a red one! Beautiful bag!
