I never go to the post office. I just put the package out for my mailman to pick up when he comes by. It makes it super easy. I don't message the buyer at all unless they have messaged me first.
You are so lucky!! Where I live everything will be stolen if you just leave it on the doorstep. I live in Newport Coast, CA and it's an great area but jerks steal packages all the time. They follow Amazon and UPS. We just had a Columbian Ring of men and 1 woman rob a house down the street. One had a fake Amazon vest. Thankfully the police department caught them. They are all idiots. There are cameras everywhere! All of my neighbors and I have alarms, ring cameras everywhere. I live on the corner too. Our mailman doesn't even come until 5 PM. I;m lucky my post office is not far away and I need a receipt. All of my items are brand new with tags and $350 and up.

That's terrible! I worry about it sometimes but I've been selling for years and never had anything stolen. I'm in California too but not a rich or well populated area so maybe the thieves don't think we have anything valuable. It is a small secluded neighborhood. You can't easily see the packages on the porch from the street. When you set up the post office pickup, you can specify where the package is. I've thought that if I was really worried about stealing, I could put the package behind the back gate.

You are lucky! I love California(expect for the high taxes, overpriced homes, too many people, crazy drivers). At times I wished I live in a rural or not populated area. I rarely carry my handbags or wear jewerly, because I don't want to be robbed. It's upsetting that you have to hide everything now, but safety over material things.

We moved here because we couldn't stand the traffic! The only thing I miss is the variety of good restaurants.

I always ship same day unless it’s already closing time that I know I couldn’t make it, but if the item is high value, I would drive 40 minutes to airport post office, they close much later and open on weekends.

At high time I went to post office, UPS 2, 3 times a day. I consider myself a great seller, I’m pretty honest and pack very well and ship right away. I also consider myself a very good buyer, I am not too picky on item’s condition unless it’s way too far from what was listed, and I don’t scam people.

I learned on the PF that you're supposed to ship ASAP so I usually ship the same day too. I notice a lot of sellers take a couple of days but the last two bags I bought - one on ebay and one on Posh - both shipped (or set up shipping) on a Sunday. I appreciated that.

Same here as a buyer. Esp if I get an item for a low price. I'm not going to complain about a small flaw.
The only preloved bag I recall returning was years ago. The bag had a very obvious spot on the front. Seller said it wasn't there when she shipped it. I guess the post office did it.

Then there was a bag that had cracks all along the edgecoat on the handles. seller said that was the design. I accepted a price adjustment because I really wanted the bag.

Oh, and the seller said something like here's your price adjustment for the bag that had nothing wrong with it. nasty or ignorant or both

We've gotten spoiled by fast shipping. Now everyone expects it. I've had buyers complain when I've shipped the same day. Sometimes even though I ship the same day, the package will just sit at the post office. My post office has one truck a day going to the distribution center so if it misses that truck, the package just sits there for another day.

Amazon is getting even faster. I ordered something last night and it was on my porch before I woke up this morning.

Once a seller shipped a purse to me in an envelope. The strap got crimped. She blamed the post office. I ended up keeping the bag but I see that crimp every time I use it. She didn't even save any money shipping in an envelope. It would have been cheaper shipped in a flat rate box.

I've noticed a lot of sellers on Posh using envelopes instead of boxes. doesn't save them any money.

ridiculous to complain to someone who ships the same day. I admit if a couple of days passes, I will send a friendly message to the seller saying I'm looking forward to receiving the item.

Oh no, I think I got a scammer. This guy that purchased my brand new Saint Laurent women sandals just messaged me under the order and said" The system is saying they’ve been delivered, but in fact they have not. This is relatively common to get early false notifications. It will probably arrive tomorrow or the next day." I noticed he has never left feedback for anyone else on PM or sold anything. But you can see when they have bought something on PM before when PM buyers leave a message under their account. He had purchased some Gucci shoes and it sounds like he never accepted them. I messaged him and thanked him for his purchase, shipped them out the next day and never heard anything from him. Maybe he's not a scammer, but his message sounds like he's done this before!!! I have never had a buyer send a message like his. I have not responded to his message. Should I just not respond? All I care is I get paid in 3 days.
