Sure barenia can be cleaned nicely with a Lexol Ph wipe, or better still with a leather cleaning wipe made for unfinished leather.. barenia is quite forgiving even a wash cloth with some mild soap and a rinsing can be used .. without undue pressure or heavy duty rubbing.. what are you trying to clean in particular?
Also do NOT use baby wipes....

Hi Doctride, I found your earlier advice to other TPFer on barenia cleaning, may I ask any leather cleaning wipe made for unfinished leather you would suggest? Thanks again.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Hello Doctride, I have this vintage gold Gulliver Kelly returned 20. 4 corners needs touch up. I noticed there are marks on different part of the bag, and also some even color that probably due to the aging. Is there any products that I can use to clean and renew the bag myself to make the bag look better without going to H spa? I have Weiman leather wiper. Thank you for your help.

Thank you! this is very helpful!! May I also ask if the large scratches/marks will blend with the leather overtime? Or only spa service can expedite the process and blend in thr marks quickly.
Hi there,
Deeper Scratches and stain type marks tend to look less noticeable over time because your bag will have more marks and scratches
They do not just go away
Sometimes they'll look less noticeable after conditioning your bag as then the bag may darken
I hope this helps ?

Hi there
You can certainly get a leather color touch up kit and apply some touch up to the corners
Many companies make good color touch up for leathers just google
And some conditioning can help the whole bag
I don't know what're product you refer to is though so I can't comment

Dear Docride, thank you for the suggestion. I will try to do it myself. If not, I probably have to bring it to the H spa.

Dear Docride, I was reading about the thread that you started back in 2008. You mentioned the blackrock's leather N rich - good for box calf and swift leather. I took your advise and ordered a jar. I want to use it on my vintage kelly 20 to clean and recondition. I didn't want to risk the touch up color from meltonian cream since I am not sure about the matching color. Thank you again. Your thread is very helpful.

Do not use colored shoe polish on your bag either
It can come off on hands and clothing
Thank you

Dear Docride, if I understand well, I shouldn't use blackrock on the swift leather at all. Can I use it on my black box Kelly? Or I shouldn't use blackrock on any of Hermes bags regardless the leather type.
Should I use Lexol Ph wipe instead on the swift?
Sorry about all these questions. I am a beginner and I want to learn about the basic cleaning and care for my h bags. With so many products available, it is very confusing.
Thank you for your help.

Hello Docride
Any suggestions to treat these stains?
I recently noticed them. I had not before

I have your box leather & other treatment kits as well as Saphir.
I do not want to attempt anything till I know your suggestions

If you have that product you can use it on box calf but honestly I'd say do not use it as most people have a lot of trouble with the product
I no longer recommend f it's use
There are much better products to use
On swift and other leathers
The products I make I can not mention here as its again the rules
I can however recommend the competition
What are you trying to do clean or condition or both?
