Hi Doc,
I'm thinking of purchasing this bag in hopes of restoring it. My main concern is a major stain inside; is this something that can be removed if I take it to a restorer? There's a smaller stain behind the bigger one, but luckily it didn't seep to the front. Besides that, are the minor discolorations outside and the zipper dirt (I'm not sure what it's called) easy to remove? Please let me know what you think. Thank you!

P.S. I'm very new to luxury bags and terminology, so thanks for bearing with me!

Hi There
This interior looks like the stain is set
Covering a dark stain with a lighter color is often difficult as stains can sometimes migrate through the coverage color over time . But it might be fine …just saying it depends on things we can’t necessarily know from the photos alone.
This color is so pretty , does the seller has a return policy?
Would it be a deal breaker to just put in an insert inside the bag and just enjoy as is?
I hope this helps?
All the best doc

Ah, good to know, thank you so much - I did not know that! They have a 14-day return policy. And I like the insert idea, that will probably be what I will do if I get it, I'm still on the fence, but leaning towards yes haha.

Hi Docride,

I recently acquired a vintage kelly32. It looks gorgeous. Seller did say it has gone through some corner touch ups. However I just noticed that the stitchings in the corners were covered up, not sure by paint or by the material that were used for edgings. Is it possible to remove this? Because I am not sure if hermes spa will take it if it looks like this. Photos of corners attached. Thank you so much!20230509_133458.jpg

Hi Doc,
i purchased this on ebay for 6600 (with tax) - it was more of an impulse buy (i've always been a sucker for the vache patina). Was wondering if I could get your opinion on the price and if would benefit from a trip to the Hermes spa.
Thank you so much - and sorry for the Rookie question. I've never bough pre-loved before and I just fell in love (in a very weird way).

many thanks!
L

Almost looks like you don’t have stitches there …like they might have gotten rubbed away .But if it’s got stitches still but they’re covered up by some paint or filler . Probably the color work can be removed. (many but not all types of color work products can be removed fairly easily ) .
I hope this helps ?
All the best
Doc

Rouge H box calf is my guess

She's badly scratched up but i think she has a great personality. :D

Hi Doc! I have a mystery I want to solve

I purchased this market bag from TRR as a cute vintage casual bag, and no damage was stated when I bought it - but when it arrived, it had these strange pinched, almost melted-looking areas in two spots on one side. I love the bag so I don't want to send it back, and having the marks isn't make or break, but I was wondering what they are and if they are even remotely fixable (I was speculating not!)

Thank you so much for any help!
