Hi Doc, could you let me know your thoughts on these?

Nice bag but color might be weird looking in person , like an odd banana color rather than the “natural” color it’s supposed to be. Also hard to tell if there will be more staining than expected in person than photos .I love the relaxed slouchy chic style of this bag . Appears Functionally sound. I like this bag .
This courchevel Kelly I like ; just one little spot check in real life for a tear see photo.I think this color is very nice and easy to pair up with different colors and outfit styles. The sellier style is boxy beautiful and chic, it can be a bit more formal …

Both bags look decent , I wonder more about how different they are from eachother…? Are you looking for one bag or two ?

Thank you!

Thanks Doc!! The other two sold out really fast, but it's ok. Just looking for one bag for now.

I do have another I am eyeing but it seems like it has an issue with the dryness of the leather, similar to the black box K32 I returned.

Am I right in thinking this one is quite dry, or do you think it can be revived?

Thank you again for your help

Hi Doc,
I purchased this bag in the hopes of being able to restore it. Hermes did offer me a quote for it, but they recommended I don’t have it repaired. I really love the color, and how vintage it is, so I don’t want to have to part ways with it. The handle is completely detached from the bag. Is there any way to remove the staining on the exterior? Would it be worth trying? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!EEE0751F-4C81-40FB-9965-98FB38690C19.jpeg

Hi there ! What a cool Kelly in natural peau Porc (Pig skin)
The staining is not removable, this is now part of its patina.
Hermes didn’t seem to want to repair it?
Dang …!
Best regards doc

Oh okay. That makes sense. It wasn’t that they wouldn’t repair it. It’s just that they didn’t recommend I’d repair it. Like I would have had to sign a waiver releasing them of liability. I think I will let it go. Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate it!

Dear Doc,
I am looking into acquiring a preloved HAC in black Chamonix leather. However, from the pictures I can tell that in addition to normal superficial scratching which I am used to from box leather, there are major/deeper scratches on one side panel and discoloration/stains on various areas of the bag. May I kindly ask for your opinion as to whether/how well the bag could be restored, please? I am fine with signs of use, but would not want a bag that will tear sooner or later. Thank you so much!

Hi there ,
Looks like some medium deep scratches , those won’t be made to look invisible or blend into the patina with spa. However they are the kind that means the bag will fall apart . So long as this bag is t allowed to be neglected and allowed to dry out there’s no real worry the bag will tear from or due to the scratch marks . IMHO .
Scratches look mostly on the side panel correct ? So maybe they’re not hugely noticeable when the bag is worn?
All the best ,doc
