Hi doc,
First time posting here - i have recently purchased a brand new kelly from the store (my first ever - only had her for two weeks) but unfortunately my hubby accidentally sat on the bag yesterday and left a dent. Can this be fixed?
Many thanks in advance!!!

Hello
Ouch !
I’d put a sturdy sided handbag insert inside and it should help smooth that out
See how that works
Good luck [emoji256]

Hello!Hi Doc!
First time posting here and would love your esteemed opinion as I consider whether to purchase a bag.
It's a BBB30 from 2004: https://en.brandoff-store.com/top/detail/asp/detail.asp?scode=2104101610248&from_item_list=1
There are white scuffs on the corners and some whitish smears. The hardware looks nearly pristine (to my relatively untrained eye). Are the scuffs and smears reparable? Is this a DYI job or a Spa visit?
Thanks so much!
Dear docride, can this bag be saved?View attachment 4154693 View attachment 4154699 View attachment 4154705
I have no idea what that white gunk is! The bag has been kept in the dustbag, stuffed, in a house with air conditioning. My only suspect for the damage is a mouse infestation we had for a few months - DO mice eat box leather? I can post a few more pics if you need them.
Thank you for your reply, docride! The rest of the leather looks OK. Let me find a few more pictures...... I'm a little curious how the leather could have worn away while the bag was stuffed with a pillow and in the dustbag. Are my mouse suspicions unwarranted?Hello so sorry for this late post ! I can’t see clearly from your photos these areas of white from here it’s looking like worn away leather ? If that’s the case then some color touch up should mask those areas. What is the rest of the leather looking like is it cracking ? All the best doc

No....but the little stinkers over ran us. They pooped inside a few of my Hermes bags!!!! And the fight was on.......I think your mouse [emoji242] suspect might be in the line up. So your back story is this bag was fine and in storage in its dust bag
Then you look and find this ? Then yes I suspect a critter... too
Does the area smell like a [emoji193] ?

Thanks, Doc. I've decided to pass on this bag.Hello!
Sorry I missed your post !
I can’t see smears or white areas from this link sorry
I actually can’t see much detail
If the only problem is a few white smears I would think it’s fixable
Can you show me better photos ?
Thanks
Doc
Thanks, Doc. I've decided to pass on this bag.
I have been busy reading your threads to prep for a pre-loved box calf bag coming my way in a few weeks. Looking forward to being a hands-on momma, so to say.
Hi Docride! I've read all your threads and have one question regarding box leather.
I've conditioned the outside of my beautiful Drag 2 with Saphir Creme Universelle and then buffed it - I have not polished it with neutral polish yet but the polish is on the way so I will in the future.
My question is - should I condition the interior of the bag? I did the flap - because that might get scratched but I've left the interior alone… it looks fine - clean and nothing appears to be dry - but I got to wondering and thought I'd better ask.
Thanks for all your help - it's invaluable!![]()
