Do you travel with your H bag?

On my last flight to NYC, there was a woman who had purchased a Birkin (35, I believe) in Chicago and was carrying it with her. She was toting the Birkin on her body with the dustbag still on it along with carrying the shopping bag and box. She was first class with her daughter, which is probably how they got around having 5 carry-on items between them.

Wow, they are always very strict with me for the 2 item rule, in any cabin. Forced to check chanel carry on roller which was totally destroyed

Everywhere with my HAC 40 (which is also my briefcase) ... If the trip is more than 5 days, I either bring my Kelly 50 or HAC 50. These all fit into the overhead compartment. I dont check in as I have had my luggage stolen previously.

I recently got a new travel "birkin protector" bag. Tom Bihn came out with a zip top version of the shop bag it fits a B30 perfect with room to spare. I think it would fit a B35 even. Dimensions are 15" (w) x 13.4" (h) x 11.8" (d). I use a packing cube shoulder bag for odds and ends and then the side pockets for a water bottle and snacks. I travel with my small fur baby now so I need a water bowl, a small container or treats/food, leash and small blanket. this fits all of that plus 2 iPads. I carry DH's iPad and he carries my main carry on! Deal!!

Looks like all colors are in production. email TB with the color you want and they will give you a date when they are expected to come back in stock. The bags have been SUPER popular with Bihn fans so they FLY off the shelf.

This bag looks great because for the love of god I cannot find a grocery bag like ba that is shaped like that. My B handles stick out in every single bag I have tried. I want one as a rain coat/bag for my B.

My travel bags do not go beyond a 30B size. 36 GPs are left at home. Any and all Hermes is in their dust bag or an Envirosax, including any clutches and carried onboard in large Longchamps, with the extra long handles, which I bought at the Paris Faubourg store. No one ever sees the contents except Security and they are well protected from any accidental spills.

+1 on Longchamp - the expandable travel bag (zipper section opens up across the middle) with the shoulder/cross body strap is an indespensible travel companion for whatever bag I bring (and an extra for whatever I acquire lol).

I tried to show how much room a B30’s handles have “to spare.” There is no squishing of the handles at all. I also snapped a pic of the packing cube inside as well.

That is the one I use! Bought it at Paris airport!

travel with my k35 inside an LC expandable bag on flight.
love how I can lock my k35 and stow away in the compartment with no worries on long & short flights. (i tend to snooze off the minute I am on flight and the lock component is such an ease of mind)
