Lock your handbag inside of your suitcase (or safe), request that no one cleans the room, and leave the TV on. Hope this helps!

This is good advice. Thank you!

I wanted to say that using a B is as safe/unsafe as using any other bags...I believe that the pocket pickers developed a skill to spot travelers without knowing what bag they're traveling with - a bunch of girl tried to rob me on Rome's subway even with my Le Boy hidden under my coat :(

Glad you weren't injured or robbed. A group of girls, so sad :( you have to be careful with everyone.

The giant Zip Lock bags are perfect to protect the bag from the dirty belt fir the XRay fir security

This is great! You never know if someone will spill a beverage on the plane.

I used mine in Rome without any problems. However, please do watch out when travelling on public transport or crowded places. A little story as a word of warning; I guess it applies to all countries when travelling, but this did happen in Rome:

My parents were visiting Rome with friends a few years ago, they were all trying to get on a bus, but because the bus was so crowded, my parents' friends said they would catch the next one. Whilst my parents were standing on the very crowded bus,

my dad went to put his hand in his pocket and thought it a bit strange that his wallet was quite high up in his pocket. He pushed it down but didn't think too much more of it. A few minutes later he again put his hand in his pocket and again the wallet had mysteriously ridden up. He pushed it down again. A few minutes later he put his hand in his pocket again to find there was already a hand in there! He said it was the most tiny child-like hand and he couldn't feel anything! He shouted to warn the perpetrator off, but it was just as the bus stopped and the prospective thief ran off the bus with an accomplice who had been standing close by, whom my mum had clocked exchanging glances with the other one. They feel that the wallet would have been quickly passed to the other person, so that if you accused the person nearest you, he would not be found to be in possession of the stolen goods. Other people on the bus just thought my dad was a mad Englishman shouting out as nobody had seen what was going on, and because neither of them speak Italian they couldn't explain!

Thank you for sharing, glad your parents weren't robbed.

I bought the Kipling tote bag for traveling with my B35 & B30. I like it for the fact that it has two pull zippers, expandable and it can totally conceal my entire Black B30 :smile1: .

It is designed to fit over the handle of a wheeled luggage (Last pic shown fit over my carry-on LV trolley). The size works for both B30 & B35.

This is great! I thought if my bag was this size the airport would think I had 2 carry ons.

Graw, I just came back from overseas travel, I had no problem carrying it as is like a shoulder bag plus my LV carry-on luggage. I was able to fit the entire tote bag straight up inside the overhead cabinet on a 10+ hours flight without any issue. I did stuff my 30B with pillow and fasten the straps during the flight. I will post few pictures soon. :D

Waiting to go thru the TSA, noted that I zip up the bag so the handles are totally hidden. I felt much safer to be able to hide my B30 inside the tote when needed... my local airport is always crowd and very busy with travelers from all over the world. I did not want anyone to see my B30 while I am going thru the TSA and the tote bag was left along on the conveyor belt waiting to be scanned.

On board... during take off, I decided to store it inside the overhead bin. It was a 10+ hours flight.

I was getting some stuff out of the tote so I left it open...

Waiting to pick up my check-in luggage. Please note that my LV trolley is the smallest carry-on size, I was able to fit the tote over the handle (if you have larger size then the tote fits perfectly on top of your carry-on)..:D

** I stuff my Birkin 30 with pillow and fasten the straps. I also cover it up with a Neiman Marcu felt dust bag (or you can just use any dust bag you have). Thanks for letting me share.

Great tips! Thanks for sharing! :)

I went to Europe with my Evelyne Epsom but kind of wish I had not as Epsom is very delicate and not sure why the button got scuffed and a part of leather is missing.
I would love a halzan to take to my trips as I travel a lot, but until then, I do plan on taking my B or K on my next trip
