I went to Europe with my Evelyne Epsom but kind of wish I had not as Epsom is very delicate and not sure why the button got scuffed and a part of leather is missing.
I would love a halzan to take to my trips as I travel a lot, but until then, I do plan on taking my B or K on my next trip

Mininana, you are quite right there! Epsom is delicate, and my Evelyn Epsom does have a scratched button and scruffed sides just after ONE trip. Having said that, because it's already scruffed up, it does go on regular rotation now on trips. Lol...

Besides the Evelyn, my birkins are my typical travel partners as i find them super easy to get in and out of. The togos and swifts are road warriors. I don't baby them as much, and they come up fine. They have survived falls (yes I'm pretty clumsy), cramped seats, security belts, rain showers and spills. Swift spas really nicely, btw, and corner scuffs are nicely taken care of during spa!

That's great news about Togo!! Taking miss K with me on my next trip :)

Also, I used my negonda GP in the pouring rain the other day, got wet and not one watermark left.

I actually took my vintage noisette box birkin with me for two international trips. I am very please with how well the leather looks after these long trips. There are a few more scuffs that blended in quite wel after a quick buff and the B looks even better. I just love box leather.

I took my etoupe B to Portugal and NY and Canada this year. And plan to bring it on my next work trip, to Portugal.
The first trip to Portugal was for work, and lasted for 1 week, whereas my trip to the Americas was longer, for about 2 weeks.
I think that Bs are great travel bags, and great to bring on a city visit.
Prior to the decision to travel with my B, I were hesitant, and afraid of things that could happen to my bag on a vacation/travel. However, each time I found that not bringing my B was equivalent to regrets, and at each occasion I found that my holiday outfits looked not as good as they usually do with my B. Now I think that the minor scratches it got
on trips are ok, and that they blend well in clémence leather. Overall I found that people never intentionally bumped into me or my bag, and that it only got the 'unintended' or 'random' scratches, which are minor, and which come with normal use even at 'home' (i.e. Corner wear). After all this, the bag is still in good shape and looks, same as before.
I really like having my B with me wherever I go!
There was only one thing that I really did not like on my recent trip, however. And I know I am not alone. A stewardess put my B (that I put in a longchamp) in the overhead compartment!! It was the first time that a stewardess asked me to store my bag in the overhead compartment! And i had to zipper the longchamp and to screw my bag to fit it completely inside the bigger tote. I took it out straight after take off... And pretended to 'sleep' when we were landing, so she could not really take the bag for a second time.

I travel with a birkin when I go to London because the city calls for great fashion and style. I do not pack it, I carry it with me in the airports. I travel with my Evelyne everywhere else though! I wear it in a cross-body style. It's very convenient. I call it a "heavy duty" bag!

thank you! :ty: I was beginning to worry that I was the only one!

And Paris! Always Paris  Although at the airport I hide mine in Longchamp. For more casual trips I use my Halzan.

I hardly ever use my Birkin 35 because it's a bit much for my workplace, so I cannot wait to use it on vacation soon! I've heard it's a wonderful travel bag. So excited to bring my gold Clemence beauty out!

I travel "with" my Hermes bags but I always bring a LeSportSac tote to put the bag in for storage on the plane.
I know a lot of other members prefer LePilage but I have been using my LeSportSac since my LV days. The other nice thing is that the bag is washable and inconspicuous.

I may have been naughty and put the longchamp inside of my washing machine many times!! :) they are fine

Hello Traveling Friends,

I have traveled on planes many times with Birkins but hate passing them through inspection and putting them on the floor in front of me for take-off, so I found some fabric to match each one of my Birkins and each one has her own travel bag. So now, I place her on top of her travel bag while she sits in the gross plastic tray that goes through x-ray, and I don't have to worry about stashing her in front of my seat---she is protected in her travel bag. The bag is the same size as the Hermes Sleeper but much lighter and of course, does not say, "Hermes."

This travel bag is for Ms. Barenia; I love the design with a French goose wearing scarf and all and it looks so pretty on "Biscuit." But I am carrying Rouge H right now and did not want to change out today. So color coordination is kind of off but you get the picture.

Thanks for letting me share.
