Do you travel with your H bag?

I only travel with my B on long haul flight.. That way I have more space for my bag.. No need to squeeze it under the seat and I can keep my eyes on them .. but the FA always take it from me and put it on the overhead compartment...

I am curious, how well does a lindy do when traveling by plane?? I was thinking of taking mine, but I am hesitant because I am not flying first class this time and I worry the handles may be crushed. I will be seated in bulkhead seat so my bag would probably need to go up in the overhead compartment. What do you ladies think??
Lindy is made for travelling. My mother and I use them exclusively when travelling - so handy and not glaringly recognizable unless it is spotted by another H aficionado. Granted, Mum's is a croc and mine is Togo but they still get pushed and dropped and squished a lot and don't show it. Fits in small spaces and holds a lot whilst still being secure. Love it. Love it. Love it.

ita 110%!

I only travel casually w/ family, so I usually just bring a leather backpack purchased on Etsy! I even change out my wallets so that if something got lost or stolen, it wouldn't be too disappointing.

I bought a Le Pliage extra large bag so I can put my H bag in it when traveling.
I have one and will probably use it this time. Like so I will be 100% sure my bag can be protected if there is need to do so (i.e. if I need to leave it on ground or if there will be pouring rain). Le Pliage are also great because you just wipe them to clean them; fold them and carry everywhere; and you can use them in the rain.

My next vacation will be with my family too, and I totally relate to your habit in using a backpack. :)

I used my 40cm Birkin once for long haul travelling (long + short haul flights combined). Went smoother than I though and the B40 fit comfortably under the short haul seat as well. The only reason I wouldn't do it again in the near future: the bag is darn heavy...

Yes I travel with my B35 in etoupe. During takeoff and landing I keep her in the dustbag. I don´t take my Bs to beach holidays, even if the hotel would be very nice. I take my travel B on short shopping trips to European cities.

Thanks a lot for your comments! I am so happy to read your posts!

Thanks CrackBerryCream :) I will give it a try and see how I feel about traveling with a birkin! After all, I find my 35B so practical because she fits a lot and still looks so elegant and classy!
For the birkin weight: I find it is true that it gets really heavy, but I still like to carry it in my hand, or the crook of my arm. For me it feels much harder to carry heavy shoulder bags because my shoulders and back hurt if I do so.

I love using this while I travel too. So light and easy.
Agree with you, and will bring my LP for backing up my birkin!

Thanks Serva1! I was planning another vacation on a beach this year, and was wondering whether I should bring there my birkin. Also, I wanted to know why other people do not bring their birkin at a beach?
My concern was about the leather to tan in the sun, or the exposure to humidity at a beach... Could you tell more about your reasons/experiences that would justify leaving a birkin at home? Thanks in advance!

For me, I would not let an H bag anywhere near sunscreen, sand and water. That would be too dangerous for me. If shopping while on a beach type vacation then probably but not actually going to the beach. Also the harsh salty air is not kind to anything and I find beachy activities too messy to risk my bags. I try to baby my bags some.
