Size question…I didn’t have any luck searching for this answer so apologies if it exists somewhere. Has anyone carried a B35 in the Louvre? Or Versailles? Dior Museum? Technically it isn’t too big, but wondering about IRL. Did you find any places in Paris that made you check/locker your B35? Same question for Venice. TIA :heart:

This is the extendable Longchamp bag I got for B35 should I ever need it for traveling, if I bend the handles a bit, I can still fit the bag even when it’s not extended, it looks more sleek that way and doesn’t juggle that much inside. Once extended the L bag becomes really tall and the B35 then doesn’t sit tight and can move a bit, I think I prefer that for storage more so than traveling 🤔
To confirm, that is the size Large Extendable?

I've never carried a B35, but routinely while away will carry a K32 or Bolide- I always seems to need more room!
That being said, outside of one time in Vienna, at the Albertina 8/10 years ago, I've never had an issue. I've returned to the Albertina since and not had to check my bag into a locker, so perhaps there was something specific going on at that time- I honestly cannot remember.
I've always been asked (at every museum and many other places) to show the inside and contents of my bag to Security in order to enter, but that's routine at this point. Hope this helps.
Have a wonderful time!

I've carried a B35 in Paris (at all the places you listed) and Venice for years. I don't check my bag anywhere. If you want to be handsfree use an Evelyne.

Yes it does. Thanks very much! I should get a Bolide, I always forget about her, but such a great travel bag. I’m regretting turning down a K32 last year. K looks great buttoned up and would be a great travel bag also.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. Very good to know.

I carried my B35 to LV Fondation, I would say unless you go to some museum/place where you're not allowed to bring a bag (but can't remember any that had this rule), you're fine... I remember in Switzerland, in Kunsthaus in Zurich you're not allowed to bring any bag, so they ask you leave bags at the lockers, but I haven't seen any museum in Paris asking explicitly for that

Thank you! It has been ages since I’ve visited Paris museums, so that’s very helpful info.

I'm already having palpitations at the prospect of transporting all my bags, including my H ones for my impending move to Dubai.

Currently, I'm thinking that the boxes will go into the check-in bags, and filled with clothes, with most of my other bags (taking a calculated risk that a direct flight from London to Dubai should be relatively safe) and the Kelly 28, Mini Lindy and Mini Evelyne will be in their dust bags and bag pillows in my carry-on luggage, but I'm not quite sure about the permutation of which ones will go into the rolling cabin bag, and which ones will go into probably the Le Pliage travel bag as my "personal bag"...

My hairline is holding on by a thread with all this stress...

Your pain is real. Your stress is real. I transported 4 not-small H bags on a 28-hour flight from the US to India earlier this year. Figuring out how to secure them, then pack them, then safeguard them before during and after the flight SUCKED. But they all made it with nary a scratch.

You can do it! Please do provide a follow-up with how you ultimately packed them and the outcome. I'd appreciate the pointers!
So I finally arrived in Dubai (after missing my flight, and having to spend my own dime to get a new one - but that’s a whole other story) and the Hermes bags survived in my carry-on luggage! (The Diors and Vuittons survived in the check-in luggage thankfully…)

I ended up having to ship my Kelly box, which should arrive in the next two weeks.

The Kelly and Mini Evie were packed into the trolley cabin bag. I first layered the bottom of the bag with clothing, to prevent any indentations from the suitcase handles, followed by the Kelly which had a bag pillow in it, and the Mini Evie which was stuffed with Rodeos…

I then layered it with a soft prayer mat, some soft bedroom slippers, and at the base of the bag, where it would be when the bag is vertical, I first put some leather jewellery boxes so that the Kelly remains at the very top of the suitcase when being rolled. I was still panicking as I really had to pile on more things on top of the prayer mat - like a document folder, and an iPad Mini…

Of course with my luck, the first time I stood it up and rolled it out, it fell flat forward (I think 10 years of my life left at that point…)

But I think the layering helped!

All unpacked and in pristine condition…

Now I just have to wait for all the other bags to come in two shipped suitcases through FedEx.

Oh, and the cat too… (not through FedEx tho!)

Sorry you missed your original flight! That’s so stressful. But glad you, your kitty and the H fam had made it safely to your new home. I always love reading your posts and looking forward to your future action posts in Dubai!!

Congrats on your move! I'm so glad the bags made it unscathed (and a little chuffed the pillow went in your cabin bag ). Please let us know when your beautiful cat arrives though! It sounds like he/she travelled separately?

I was wondering about your dear cat with the move and all..
Looking forward to some 'in action' shots in Dubai.
Wishing you much joy and new friends and adventures in your new base.
