View attachment 6030239When flying, I always ask to keep the plastic where flight attendants put the sheet/comforter when they turn down my seat for my bag especially in lighter colored bags. It helps protect the bag from rubbing/dirt from the floor. Been doing this for as long as I can remember and the bottom/corners of my bags are still in good shape:smile:
Such a good tip! Thank you for sharing.

This is a great idea for storing a B25 in while traveling!

Which Longchamp bag is this?
For short regional flights I use a Le Pliage Tote size M. To carry a couple more bags on longer flights, the Travel size M. I had a few customised at the Faubourg St Honore store in Paris and have used them happily for years. Hope this helps!

Members need your insights! I do travel with my H bags or combo of H bags. This next trip I am going to NY and from there to Europe with my DH and DD. Due to work meetings, one of the days it will be just my DD and I.
I have already de decided im not taking birkjn as my tote. Should I take a C24, CL, K25, or Jysperie. I usually don’t even thing about it twice but I would opt for peace of mind over style. Any thoughts. I would be in northern Spain and portion of trip in small towns in France. Would love some insights. Thank you

I would recommend taking the kelly since it has a strap when you want to be hands free and is still chic enough for dinners out when traveling. Jypsiere can get heavy and might be a bit casual for dinners out and depending on how much you need to carry during the day, the constance might be just a bit limited in size. Good luck deciding and hope you have a wonderful trip!

We've already discussed how I love the Jysperie for travel. So that would be my vote. The Costance Elan would also be another great option. For travel, I prefer something I can crossbody.

I might take an H bag for domesticxce travel, usually a TPM evelyne or MKII.
For a domestic ski trip, maybe my felt picotin or casual h bag that’s light

For international travel (like skiing or EU/Asia), the most would be a TPM
While I’m at the destination, I might borrow DHs sac a depeches 21. For evenings,
I might pack my BBK longue wallet and use it as a clutch.

But on a shopping trip, like Paris, i would just as soon take something that can be
Packed almost flat, that can withstand some variable weather. So my mini Loewe
Puzzle or my Dior men’s saddle with adjustable, ergonomic strap is more practical
(Both can handle the rain).

I also prefer non H shoes bc they aren’t comfy enough
Or versatile enough for a days walking then dinner. But, I do wear H RTW
Or other designer items that can be rolled into packing cubes.
I typically only carry at most a rimowa roller and weekender (the latter as empty
as possible for shopping) for trips Ranging from 1-4 weeks.
(If shopping exceeds what I can carry/pack in my weekender,
I might send older clothes home via the hotel) but that’s rare.

I kind of have to because I gave away everything that is not H, LV or Longchamp.

While I have traveled with Birkin, Kelly, Constance of various sizes , HAC a Dos, Kelly Ado, Jypsiere 28 and Mini, Lindy 30 and Mini, Halzan, multiple Evie of all sizes, I think the best travel bags are either Barenia, Barenia Faubourg or Clemence.

In case you get caught in a rain storm, you don’t have to worry about those bags as much. I don’t carry umbrellas because we just walk in the rain where I am from.

To go through security, I either have a thin packable bag to go over the bag (when there are no trays), but have also just put them on the tray or just on top of a big jacket that I have to remove. And sometimes, I just bring the Birkin inside my zipped up Longchamp travel tote because I am afraid the stuff might spill out.

Edited to add: If you don’t want someone to squish their oversized carry-on into the same overhead bin as your Birkin, just don’t sit on the first row or other bulkhead rows. The Birkin has feet and does fine on the floor.
