Do you travel with your H bag?

“Gently tucked” will eventually become “shoved under seat” with handles twisted into a pretzel and you wonder how they haven’t broken off….
Not at all! Not sure if the comment was a joke. There are discussions up thread about this. Overhead compartment is not preferable but under the seat is possible. No twisting or broken handles on my huge B35.

Haha I was describing myself and my habits of my B35 overtime! I used to properly put it in its dustbag etc during security and storing under seat… that lasted exactly 1 flight. Too much effort. Since then, it remains naked throughout security and flight and pretzeled everywhere (I value my economy plus leg space during personal travel over laying the B35 flat on its side… those poor handles!)

Mine, too 😊 after all, it is a sturdy, beautifully made workhorse bag that is made to be used as a tote.

this year I have travelled with Kelly 25 or 28 crossbody (in natural or bright colors) with the hardware flipped inside while wearing for airport pre check and in flight. As @hermesandchanel referred above, I do not cover or hide my crossbody — for me it’s way too much effort for a bag. I also place it on the floor, shoved under seat or if no other option- overhead (1st row seat problems) No one has ever commented on any of my Kelly’s but when I did travel with birkins it attracted attention (even from flight attendants). I also found it uncomfortable to travel w a birkin (doesn’t stay right on top of carry on for me). Recently travelled and saw a lady struggling to hide her Kelly in a bag inside a bag. Way too much effort considering it was just a crossbody.

I fly with one of several B35s all of the time. I carry the dust bag and usually put it on in the car on the way to the airport. B stays in it then pretty much to the destination. When she is riding on top of my wheeled bag I turn the H logo around. I’m probably not very interesting because no one even notices what I’m carrying. Except once when I put her on the conveyer, a TSA guy kind of raised an eyebrow at the bag. :lol:I just shrugged and said, “Sorry.” “Birkin.” He just laughed.

This is the extendable Longchamp bag I got for B35 should I ever need it for traveling, if I bend the handles a bit, I can still fit the bag even when it’s not extended, it looks more sleek that way and doesn’t juggle that much inside. Once extended the L bag becomes really tall and the B35 then doesn’t sit tight and can move a bit, I think I prefer that for storage more so than traveling 🤔
