Oh lord! That would freak me out! Must find the purse hook I bought ten years ago and literally never ever used.

Anyone have links to cute ones that are for sale now? Less jewel encrusted - more simple would be my style.
I bought the Alessi purse hook because it was so cute. the cat "Minou". They also have an elephant called "Jumbo".

@tinkerbell68 recommended the clipa that I use and buy for friends and family

@Letter , I don’t normally travel with my k25 away from home, but I was fortunate to purchase one at FSH and so I traveled with it then. It was a little bulky for me as I prefer to travel carry on only.i typically only carry bags that can smush flat or sort of flat ish like a TPM; Loewe mini puzzle; or Dior men’s saddle with ergonomic strap. But, the 25K was easy to maneuver. Either I kept it on crossbody (I’m short and fine with a high crossbody) or clipa attach3d. Or tucked it in between my body, coat, and chair arm.

On recent trips, I’ve used an epsom mini K as my only bag, and that’s worked. It holds my iPhone (no case); my sunglasses or other glasses (universal valextra case, exposed temples); H card case (not a calvi); and a few other small things. I do have to juggle a bit, and sometimes slide stuff in pockets, but going light is worth it. If I buckle the straps under the flap, it’s discreet.

ETA: I’m fortunate in being able to travel light. DH carries his 21 sac a depeches which holds a lot.

@hermesandchanel , I’ve been lucky with epsom bags of a reasonable size. I have heard horror stories from friends. I tend not to put bags on public floor (mainly for security reasons). For box leather or exotic clutches, they go on the side of my chair; on my lap; or on the table (away from action). Caveat: I did put my black box kelly longue wallet on a wet glass table (which I don’t advise). It has marks in the shape of two small islands (but I’m not going to get it spa-ed yet. It just came back from months away (spa and hard ware replacement and it’s my own fault, so that’s life). The clipa is a form of last resort (and I say that bc my bag is in as much danger from me or my friends as from the waiter. One could of course also carry an envirosac or mini nylon bag and simply dump your purse into it. Which is what many of us do in case of inclement weather or weariness of arm carry

I have dumb question. Does a purse hook not put the bag more at risk of food or drink spills given it’s hanging just on the side/under the table? If not by the dining guests, the waiters.?

I put my bags on the floor daily (it’s why I only buy bags with feet!)… I would much rather use a hook but always thought it would be a much riskier option to have wine or chunky soup splashed all over.

I usually keep mine on the side farthest away from where waitstaff would deliver dishes. The Clipa keeps the bag at least half hidden under the table, so I feel it’s pretty safe. Not foolproof, but good enough!

Yes! +1
I have both the Minou and Jumbo. I find myself reaching more for the Jumbo.

Just travelling atm with my Jumbo at the airport lounge

Kelly Elan stacked inside the B30 for a short trip to Italy

I use the Alessi Minou, but what I do, is put the bag in a reusable canvas bag first, and then hang that bag using the bag hook. That way, there is less wear on the handles of my bag, and the bag is protected from potential spillage.

I know, it's giving Yzma vibes, but I'm very extra that way...

I once had one of the Alessi purse hooks but while it was cute and whimsical, it was also big, taking up a fair amount of space in my daily pouch, and it did not have any ‘grip’ and thus occasionally slid off surfaces taking my handbag with it. Thus I am now a dedicated Clipa fan. One woman at a restaurant on Avenue Montaigne saw my Clipa and requested one from her server assuming it was provided by the restaurant

I have a Carrie Atelier compact hook. Small to carry and very sturdy. Available in different finishes. Great purchase.

Does anyone have the RMS 12 H bag? Would love to see pics of the way it attaches to a rolling luggage handle and also any comments on size. I am curious to know if it is too big to use as a day bag but too small to hold much in its role as a carry on bag (reverse Goldilocks). TIA!
