Good to know that for SQ Economy the B35 can fit under the seat without being squished!
I wished I took picture. It lies flat on its back on the floor and the sides fit nicely in between metal parts of the seat in front. There’s also good clearence above the bag with the lower part of the seat in front. The only thing is the handles: they are not exactly in line with the back of the seat and poke out a little so I had to remind my husband not to step on them on his way out  (My bag… my BAG… MY BAG!!!)

Obviously there are lots of metal in that area so I made sure the bag including handles were fully covered. It survived

Haha, I chuckled at that...

I always make sure to choose a window seat, to avoid any klutzes from trampling on my bags like an errant bull in Pamplona...

😉 I total get you.
Might just be a minor problem for a B35 if there's a Krisworld box under the seat in front of you. 🤔

Wow, you are BRAVE. I never put anything H in my checked bags; not even my well worn H shoes! Too much risk for theft imo.
We got airtags going, and with two young kids there's no way I can manage looking after them AND fancy handbags in the airport. Plus, the beating that they take as hand luggage--I have a B35 who is was definitely worse for the wear and it still hasn't forgiven me for what I subjected it to on our 30-hour flight.

I mean I have young kids and AirTags too and still…they wouldn’t steal the entire luggage, just remove the valuables. It wouldn’t be the first time. Fingers crossed for you!

its true about bags sometimes looking worse for wear after being (over)protected, inside other bags, handles getting misshapen etc. I dont mind the look of a well worn birkin, but hate any signs of wear on my evening or light coloured bags.
Like @acrowcounted said, I would not put any H bag in my check-in. Or even H shoes. Would your insurance @MonsoonBirkin cover it?
I usually carry one of the larger Kellys with a KP or a MK inside it - or just a k25 which is versatile and suitable for most occasions, even on longish trips. Would love to hear from other members how they travel with multiple bags.
Anyway - keep us posted how it goes.

I don’t like to be too heavily encumbered when I travel.

My preference is to go with carry-on only, in which case my Kelly Cut goes into my Rimowa cabin spinner and I use a Bolide, a K32 or my Kelly Flat as my everyday handbag (sometimes I add a Rimowa tote to this setup as well, which enables me to travel without checked luggage for trips of up to about 14 days).

The everyday H bag never gets packed (although I could pack the Kelly Flat if I wanted, because it packs, well, flat…). I’ve never had trouble accommodating the everyday bag at my seat in my usual flight classes. I would never put them in an overhead bin. EVER. This is the main reason I never choose row 1 on narrow-bodied aircraft, where quite often one is forced to put all hand luggage overhead at least for takeoff and landing.

I would not travel with a Birkin except on a quick interstate trip because they are simply too noticeable and I always prefer a secure closure for international travel. The Bolides and the Kelly Flat are never recognized and even my K32s are usually only identified in places like Paris. The Kelly Flat is the ultimate stealth Kelly lol.

If I travel with a checked bag the Kelly Cut goes into my main cabin bag (which is usually a Rimowa tote or sometimes an LV Keepall), standing “book style” in its dust bag next to my laptop/iPad. I don’t put anything into a checked bag that couldn’t be compensated with insurance or that couldn’t be replaced. But I wouldn’t care about putting H shoes, silks or lower end RTW in checked luggage.

I really try to limit myself to two handbags in total! Very occasionally I might also add my little Cinhetic clutch for a pop of colour, but again it goes into hand luggage (and takes up no room really). I wouldn’t generally try to pack or nest multiple day bags because, for me, that is just not an efficient use of my limited available packing volume (and weight allowance) when travelling carry-on only.

During my last Asia trip I took my Evelyn 29 with me cause it was easy to carry a side bag...took it on the plane and everywhere I went...when not using I hid it in my suitcase covered by clothes.... My b25 was not even 1 month old at the time so I didn't dare to bring it in case something were to happen lol also it's not the most friendly when travelling since it's a top handle bag

Yay glad to hear!!
And just to expand on this it's usually picnic, H dust bag, larger bag (typically like a beach bag since I've only ever taken the picnic to a seaside locale (Positano, Riviera Nayarit), Tumi exterior bag). Works a treat. Even if I use a structured bag like an LV GM OntheGo as my beach bag, I still like to put that into the Tumi because I prefer to be as under the radar as possible when I'm doing the actual travel portion.

Thank you so much!! When you say Tumi, do you mean a hard shell carry on??

I was thinking of just picnic in the dust bag and inside a st louis tote but I’m not sure if that’s too flimsy?

I use this as just the "outer layer" to just disguise anything I'm bringing. My friends think it's hilarious that I unzip it and all these bags come out!

I think a dust bag in the St. Louis would be just fine.
