I think it's more than a hobby...stamps...coins collecting...those are hobbies. LVs are more like an addiction....a very expensive one too!

According to this link about the basics of collecting, it does fall under a hobby to be a collector of items. I have a collection of 9 LV bags and a handful of accessories, so I suppose it's a hobby for me too.

LOL i love how you stated this!!!!

I think indeed it can be considered a hobby as speaking for myself it goes far beyond just wanting a certain LV product. Knowledge of the different lines, LE releases, fakes, etc. all make for it to be considered a sport/hobby!!! but there comes a point where lots of us gets sucked in and become obsessive about it...for me that part I welcome as a retreat from lifes bumps and grinds its just a breath of relief to allow me to venture on with another passion in life....I love my hobbies and at times change them often ! And i dont mean purses....I love to try different things
