Do you still buy silver pieces? or have you 'moved on'?

Moved on. in theory, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a special piece in silver, but my DH and some of my SAs shake their head bc I hate polishing. Anyway, after decades of only wearing white gold and silver, I’ve moved back to YG. DH and the jeweler told me last year they felt YG was more youthful and flattering on me, and I was like, couldn’t you guys have told me this decades ago
lol
I think gold is back in style. Back then silver was more youthful.

I’m 40 and wear mostly platinum and yellow gold bc I find them low maintenance and more of an investment when it comes to jewelry. But I just recently purchased the Return to Tiffany heart bead necklace in silver on the second hand market, bc I like it and there’s a nostalgia factor. It was a bit impulsive, I have to admit. And I wish they still made this necklace in yellow gold - I would totally love that. I guess I’ll see how it does with my lifestyle regarding the tarnishing…
Pandora polishing cloths are better than the Tiffany ones, for what it's worth... Takes me seconds to polish a tarnished piece with those. The Tiffany ones don't do much.

I definitely associate silver with 90s minimalism and Calvin Klein slip dresses and Kate Moss—all aesthetics that I love! And now I also associate it with fluid and elegant Peretti designs and a 70s aesthetic, which I have 100% fallen in love with recently. But, yes, young style certainly seems to veer toward gold (and chunky jewelry!) today.

Yes, I still buy sterling silver pieces from Tiffany. I prefer to buy larger, more sculptural pieces, especially Elsa Peretti designs, in sterling silver. I usually buy daintier, more “everyday” jewelry in yellow gold.
I tend to agree with you. The bolder pieces tend to look better in silver, although all are beautiful. As I get older, I noticed I am looking more towards the cooler toned metals. I love the wrecking balls in silver and Hardware pearls line. Silver certainly has its place and it will again usurp gold.

I love the luster and color of freshly polished silver, but I’m not crazy about the maintenance. I used to buy more silver pieces in my younger days because that was the best I could afford, too.

These days I find myself leaning towards rose gold, but I still wear my silver Tiffany “I love you” ring (now retired) everyday. (It was the first ring my husband ever bought for me while we were still dating.)

I appreciate that Tiffany offers great designs in silver. I love a mixed metal look, so I’m sure I’ll buy more over the years. Especially statement pieces.

On me, I prefer silver to platinum/WG. I also enjoy how silver can brighten up a monochrome platinum/unplated WG look. My body chemistry gets along well with silver and I use anti-tarnish fabric for storage, so tarnish is a relatively minor concern.

I’ve never had much issue with tarnish- I love silver for bold pieces! I love the hardwear collection and so many Peretti designs- they really are suited to silver.

I used to buy a lot of silver pieces but have now moved on as it seems to work with my lifestyle better. I find it time consuming to have to polish the silver pieces from time to time. With fine jewelry you don't have to worry about that

I moved on to gold - didn’t buy much silver to begin with and found Gucci to be better value (cheaper too) with their designs. Not really a silver lover.

The best (and newest) acquisition from T&Co are the tahitian pearls with the ring in rose gold setting.

These are so beautiful! I am absolutely in love with their black pearls. The studs will be my next purchase, and it's nice the cost is not so exorbitant. Do you wear them often?

I wore them three times already. Absolutely lovely and the T&Co white gold setting didn’t irritate my ears. Usually my ears will react to WG immediately. Wore 8 hours once and nothing happened.

(only the ring is in rose gold - no other options and last one in the country when I bought it).
