Do you still buy silver pieces? or have you 'moved on'?

I got a bone cuff a few years ago and have got my eye on the Hardware Pearl bracelet that I think would stack well with my Tiffany T narrow chain bracelet. I really like the pieces from Tiffany that have been mixing pearls with silver and am inspired by the hardware Pearl Lock bracelet but want to utilize the pieces I have. I’ve always been a white metal girl so I will probably always have feelers out for silver pieces.

I like low maintenance, so for the white/silver metals I actually prefer silver over white gold. I personally find having to get an item repeatedly rhodium plated annoying. So I typically go for platinum, but if that’s not available I do silver over WG. The only WG I do like is Cartier, since it’s not yellow-tinged when not rhodium plated. I wear a Tiffany SS cuff daily.

My jewellery is platinum, but I was out shopping for the day yesterday with my girlfriend and wanted to buy something other than clothes.

I do have Tiffany crystal, chinawear, keyring and wore Tiffany jewellery in my 20’s.

I came home with a RTT SS beaded bracelet with pink enamel heart and a diamond, which I’m very happy with.

I have just recently gotten back into Tiffany silver. In my 20’s and 30’s I wore silver and white gold mostly. Once I got into my 40’s I included some yellow gold and rose gold into my collection. Now that the Tiffany prices continue to increase, I decided that I should purchase a few more silver pieces before the prices get even crazier than they are now. I have always wanted the RTT Heart Tag studs so I purchased those and the Hardwear Micro Link bracelet because I think it will pair nicely with my tennis bracelet. There is just something about Tiffany silver that is so classic and timeless!

Good choices! I have both of those in silver, and love them!

So happy to hear you love these two pieces. I got the earrings just the other day and love the simplicity of them! I haven’t gotten the bracelet yet. Should be early next week. Excited to try it since it seems to be a popular piece in the Hardwear collection.
I received my earrings as a gift in 2009, and wore them for years! I don’t wear them as often anymore, since I find them a bit too big for me (I now prefer smaller, daintier earrings; and also have a second piercing, and prefer to always wear two earrings). I wish I would have asked for the mini versions, which they no longer seem to make (at least not like the ones they used to offer). However, I will likely never get rid of these earrings - and I do try to wear them on occasion. I’m obsessed with the bracelet! I’m excited for you to get it!

I typically never buy silver anymore but I acknowledge some pieces are either 1) iconic (Tiffany EP, for example) 2) require too much materialo for me to afford in another metal (hundreds of dollars vs tens of thousands) or 3) are thick and heavy and look good in silver.

That being said, I only own one silver item - a Tiffany Notes cuff. I intend to get a silver EP cuff this week. There’s no way I’m buying a $30k gold EP cuff. For me, $30k is better spent on what will be more beloved jewelry pieces vs novelty items.
