Do you still buy silver pieces? or have you 'moved on'?

I had a lot of silver Tiffany gifted to me when I was in my 20’s from my dad and Mr. Sparkle. About 5 years ago, I gave all but one piece (a Tiffany notes cuff that I wear pretty frequently) to DD.
I tried doing this with my college freshman daughter before I sold mine...she rejected everything except my graduated bead/ball drop earrings!  In fairness, she told me she preferred the look of yellow or rose gold on her skin tone, but still...at that age I would've practically given my right arm for any Tiffany jewelry! So much for passing these pieces down, as she's my only child. Oh well...more money for me to get to spend! I'm glad your daughter was a happy recipient of your pieces. :)

Our kids definitely have their own points of view. And fashion marches on!

I wouldn’t be surprised if my DD was wearing them ironically. Or maybe she took them to spare my feelings and sold them on eBay. Who knows?

My fiancé bought me the Venetian link bracelet 2 years ago and it doesn’t leave my wrist. I hate how silver tarnishes, but how special the bracelet is to me and how beautiful it is after a cleaning outweighs the maintenance. I received the Tiffany 1837 interlocking circles ring in silver yesterday and find it so pure and amazing. Silver isn’t commonly a purchase, but when I put the ring(s) on both my fiancé and I knew it wasn’t coming off. Doesn’t matter what it’s made of, as long as your heart sings and you feel as beautiful wearing the piece as it is on its own, it’s worth it. ✨❤

So I stopped buying silver pieces years ago. However I am considering adding one more - a Bone Cuff.

To be honest the main reason I stopped buying silver was the maintenance followed by the fact yellow gold looks best on me.

I think that if you love the pieces then go for them.
Ok. . . So I am amending this response a little. I just ordered a Peretti piece this past weekend in sterling. It is a charm bracelet. Lately I have been wearing and enjoying more of my silver pieces. Although I still am a maintenance free type of girl, I do enjoy silver pieces. So, although my preference is still gold, I am loving and enjoying silver all over again. And yes- my look for today is a little early 2000s, I’m still having fun with it. image.jpg

I still wear my Tiffany silver pieces I bought over the past twenty years but starting this year I only buy platinum, white or rose gold. I don't like the maintenance of polishing silver and I do keep them in a jewelry box to help prevent it. I may be also getting lazier because I like jewelry I can wear in the shower and such. Another thing is that my ears don't react to gold but silver earrings I can't keep in more than a day.

Thanks very much. I totally agree with you - the bone cuff is so nice in silver. Alas it looks rather ordinary on me :(. i love it on others though !

Thank you ! I havent seen the wave earrings in person. The store I am near is a smaller store and they dont get everything unfortunately so I often have to order pieces in (doesnt worry me though I am grateful I get to go there). i might take a look online and see if anyone has posted some shots of them on.
I know what you mean with the cleaning. I have the Marrakech earrings in silver and cleaning is hard haha!

absolutely understand and agree with what you mean that your skin tone has a lot to do with what you like wearing.

I see what you mean that your skin changes over time. Did you sell any white gold and platinum pieces as well? Or just the silver? Sorry for so many questions!
I can see myself wearing them with some outfits for sure.

I agree I usually buy more dainty pieces in gold as well. We must have similar styles :)

It so does look cool in SS! Yes maintenance can be a bit over the top. RG is very nice too !

Yeah variety in your accessories box is certainly helpful. :) thank you i see what you mean :)
