Thanks everyone. I know its a really broad question. I just had no idea where to start. Just deciding on the size is so hard. Most of my bags are black and i really wanted my first Birkin to be black but i see all these Birkins on instagram and the colored ones are so pretty. Then i get totally thrown off in having to decide on a color. :confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1:

But reading the responses has helped a lot. I guess i will have to stop being lazy and really do my research. Thanks ladies!!!!!

I also recommend considering the weight. I really dislike heavy bags since I do a lot of walking. So, I greatly prefer the 30cm. Even the HAC 32 was too heavy for me. Congratulations on the baby BTW :)

I have the opportunity to purchase a custom birkin. I want Etoupe in Togo with gold hardware but I am not sure on the size. I’ve read a ton about the 35 being big for somebody on the smaller size . I am 5’2”. BUT I have 5 kids and need to fit a good amount in my purse and I love big bags.
I would also say more casual mainly in gym attire or comfortable clothes most of the time. Can anyone comment on their experience with the 35?

Surely if you are in that happy position there will be something in 30 and something in 35 for you to try to get a feel for the size.
I also suggest that you get some cardboard and cut out a b35 shape and hold it up by yourself to see the scale of it against your body.

I'm 5'2" as well, and have had both 30 and 35 cm Birkins. I think you already know the right answer for yourself. At this stage of your life, the 35 will do exactly what you need it to do. If and when you're ready for another (or to sell the 35) the 30 is a great day to casual evening size. I've sold my 35's and have a couple of 30's.

I'm also petite and have several 35s and 30s. I rarely use the 35s anymore because I find them heavy to carry around all day, and cumbersome to wield while wrangling my toddler. But I love the casual look of the 35, so get what you like and think you'll use!

I’m 5ft and the 35 was proportionally too big for my frame. I also couldn’t hold it all day out and about. I don’t load my bags with a lot either. It’s very heavy even empty. I ended up selling mine and use my 30’s all the time. I’m never wishing it was bigger.

I’m the same height as you and had a Togo 35. It weighed nearly 1.3kg empty and whilst I loved the size for practicality and didn’t mind that it looked a bit big on me (it was pretty casual and slouchy), eventually I couldn’t deal with the weight anymore and bought a 30. I do occasionally miss the extra space with the 30, but I don’t miss the back ache!

Just curious -- have you weighed your 30? Wondering about the weight difference.
