+1, I like how the 35 looks on others but on my frame (petite 5'4), the 30 is more proportional. Also, I don't carry that much which is why I prefer the 30. The 35 gets too heavy for me after I put my things in it.

Whenever others mention their height as a reason they prefer 30's, it always makes me jump in.;)

I'm 5'0 and petite, yet I prefer 35's. Although I do own and use both sizes happily, I much prefer the proportions and overall look of the 35. I don't carry that much - it is merely an aesthetic preference.

I also don't subscribe to the pop color:30 - neutral:35 theory. I would prefer every bright color to be in 35, but if I love the color and 30 is all I was offered, that will have to do.:p

I'm with you. I am 5'4". Have a 30 etoupe and a 35 rouge H and both suit me. Been waiting for #3 - a 25 in blue, which would also suit me. Like so many things, a lot of it is your comfort level, but really you've just gotta "own" it!

I love the big bag look. Riding the train during rush hour in nyc I am a sardine. I can't move and feel crushed. I can protect a B30 because it is not that wide. :smile1:

Hi, I carried my B30 out to dinner last weekend, it contained - Tods loafers in a dust bag, wallet, keys, perfume, lipstick - it didn't seem over full at all and was still very light to carry. I hope this helps!

Hello tPF,

I have been offered a Birkin 35 black Togo leather with silver hard wear direct from a hermes boutique, I only buy from the boutique.

I currently own a Birkin 30 raisin Togo leather. Lindy coco 34, garden party 36 gold all leather unused, Kelly wallet black unused, Evelyn blue sapphire GM & Victoria in a petroleum colour...can't remember the real name!

Questions:

Do I sell my Birkin 30 & other bags to the equivalent cost of the 35 and buy the black 35?

Or just turn down the 35? And keep with what I have?

I wish I could keep them all both but I can't.

Hermes is my hobby, I only spend a set amount so I don't break that rule...I buy for fun and the 'chase' of that all elusive bag.

Which one would you choose if you were only allowed to own 1 Birkin?

You need both size 30 and 35 birkin.
I'm afraid I don't have the discipline to get rid of the B30 but definitely encourage you to go for black b35. I did that this year and I'm now contented, at least for now...
If I were you, I will get rid of the Lindy 34 and Evelyne GM cos I find them too large and also the Garden Party cos not a fan. But these may not resell well though.

If yes stay put
If you're really in love this b35 noir
I suggest that you sell your lindy
Can sell higher price comparing to gp
You still get to keep a shoulder tote
Or wait for a kelly in future
Since financial restrictions
Add variety to your collection
If you sell your b30
You are all left with big sizes bags
You may regret one day
