Do You Prefer Size 30 or 35 Birkin?

There's something about suffering for art sake I suppose but I just can't do it. My back pain can take me down literally and weight is an issue. I'm tall and could pull off a 35 birkin but it would have to be made from down feathers. The 30 is it for me and 28 in Kelly works best.

Seems quite some time ago there were posts in which folks said they wished H would come out with a 32 birkin. I don't know why sizes aren't the same for birkin and kelly. There must be some explanation of how the sizes were chosen.

I always have this dilemma to whether to have a 30 or 35 birkin. To many of my friends carrying 35, they advise me to take 30 so it would not be very heavy. I love the 35 size but was afraid of the weight of the bag. I struggle for a very long while.

Just last week I finally made a decision and settled for a 30 Togo. It look abit small for me but I have yet to fully expand it.

Size 30 is more versatile I think as it can be used for day or evening. But who knows, one day I might just also order a 35 too.

I only have one b30 so far but think will stick with 30 even for upcoming purchases. SA said a 35 may be Nice for variety but she stressed it is heavy. I had burnt myself earlier not listening to the weigh issue of a Chanel lambskin jumbo. And now my jumbo doesn't see much light since my neck and shoulder hurts for a full day after wearing it. So now to me weigh comes before "look" but mind u I am only 5'4 and always wear flats so i find 30 suits my proportion better. Just my 2 cents =)

I have both 30 and 35 and I honestly prefer the 35 over the 30 any day. Quite frankly, I feel the 30 looks awkward on me. I feel like it looks way too small and too lady like for my casual style. I prefer the bigger and more casual look of the 35.

As for weight, I don't find my 35 that much heavier than my 30. Granted my 30 is in fjord leather, but tbh, I don't think my 35 togo is heavy at all. However, it is a little clumsier in crowded places, but I don't mind it one bit :p.

As for reference, I am petite and always in flats. I find the 35 prefect with jeans or a summer dress :). If I could go back in time, I would've never bought my 30. Never used it and it's just sitting in the closet collecting dust.

I have also been thinking about getting 30s instead. I feel like the 35 is just a tad big but I'm afraid the 30 will be too small. Why oh why does Hermes not make the Birkin in a 32???

I share the same sentiments too. I ordered my 2nd B in 30 too, now it's waiting time. I was advise by my doctor not to carry too heavy bag as I have shoulder and neck problem.

I have a Chanel jumbo too and I realised that if I put stuffs in it, I cannot carry it for travelling. I did it once, I left it in the hotel room more of the time

I really like the size of 35, if one day I manage convince myself about the weight, I want to get a B35 too.

Box and Epsom are super light, so I would recommend those in a 35, and you shouldn't have a problem!

It's like we have the same mind! Finally someone understands. This is why I am so worried about receiving my SO 30 chèvre, it will just look weird. From someone who wears flats 90% of the time with my 35's and 5'2'', I totally relate.
:hugs:

Completely agree with you 100% that it's all down to individual choice :smile1:. I just wish I can feel differently about the 30 .

:hugs: :D When are you expecting your SO? That's so exciting! Can't wait to see it :smile1: I think if you wore the B30 with the wings out, then you might feel better about the size. Who knows... maybe then you'll change your mind and love the 30s more :thinkin: :p.
