do you like CHARMS on your bags??

I definitely did not used to care for them but now I'm slowly changing my mind the more I see hem on tpf. When you find one that goes well with the bag and it makes you happy, why not!

I only have two charms that I use right now and this penguin one goes perfect with my coach Red turnlock borough. I love this charm but tried it on several bags and it was never that perfect except on this and my old white paraty that I sold. So it really depends!

Ive seen some nice ones on other ppl's bals but I haven't found one I liked so all my bals are naked..for now...

I like them, but only if they match the bag. Some clash color wise or seem completely "off" aesthetic wise to the bag they're paired with. but if they're paired well, I think it can bring out even more of the bag's beauty and show the wearer's personality as well.

I don't like them at all, think they look silly and tacky. Yes, even if real fur and cost a grand. Seems I'm in the minority here.

Really? Seems to me that you are in the "majority". A lot like charms on other bags, not theirs... I've changed my mind too. Also, I found them expensive even though they are made of metal, not gold or silver or whatever...

I have one LV charm and I love it; its all brass and is a chunky clover shape. I only like particular charms, and I put my one charm on whatever LV bag I am carrying that day. However, its a very heavy charm so sometimes I go without.

Nope. All my bags are naked, as they were designed. I admire others who can pull them off, and even bought a Fendi monster several years ago when they first came out (and returned it when I realized I had paid 700 for a toy). And I do not like the scarves on handles either. They all make the bag so fussy, and (don't kill me) childish looking. JMHHO

This post made me smile - your bags are "naked" and you realized you "paid 700 for a toy". LOL! 😂😂 Love it! When I use a bag charm it is unbridled fun time! And I agree they have a childlike quality. So that is exactly why (for me) they have a limited but still well loved use. Sometimes I like being a kid. 😜

But I see scarves on bags as the opposite. Like you, I see fussy. But scarves - especially the twillies around handles - look old and dated to me. This just shows that one woman's pleasure is certainly another's poison. 😄 Thanks for sharing!

I agree, there are very few bags that can pull off charms/scarves/other adornments. I'm more of a minimalist so it's not exactly my style and yes, I also feel they often look juvenile, but again to each their own, we all have our own opinions and are entitled to them, hence the purpose of this forum.

My personal exceptions are the Burberry Thomas Bear but even than I can't bring myself to place it on a bag so I ended up returning it, but I might go back for the large non-key charm version to place on my shelf. The other exceptions are limited edition or collaboration SLGs, in particular coin purses, because they're handy for subway tokens or headphones in a large tote/satchel or in small crossbody bags when used with a cardholder.

I love em but only if they work with the bag. I feel like they add some character, especially if the bag is plain or boring looking. Also, I only use one type of charm at a time. I have one bag that looks better without any so I just leave that one as is.

Thank you for understanding I am not criticising others' choices and admire some of them, just not for me.
