This is why I'm happy with my Fufus. They look good and are cute.
I'm anti fakes in general, but in this case...I think they are just the same cheap junk no one will care about next year.
I won't put much effort in getting the real ones if they are not available in a proper way, and I will not stalk their site in the middle of the night for the next drop.
Haha, I guess I am still damaged from the LV x TM drops. 😂 But I wouldn‘t wait in such a line, too. Though I have to admit that me and a friend once waited for 3h for a iPhone (without being a Apple fan girl, but we both happen to lost our phones at the same time back then) and the problem was, we expected a 15 minutes wait, but didn‘t know about apples fan world and when you already waited a certain time, you cannot somehow abandon the line and having waisted your time. 😅

Can’t wait to see yours when it arrives :). That shrimp tempura is super cute but I didn’t bother trying for it. I have a physical store in my area but they told me they only sell Labubus via their online drops on IG (so no walk ins) and those often sell out in less than a minute too (just like the general Popmart site). I guess it’s more efficient and less work for the store to do Labubu pick ups only.
Will post, if they arrive. 😂🍀 (However, I have also seen such funny Lafufus on Reddit. Love looking what monsters there are. 😄). The Labubus/general Popmart market has really grown into an incredible market…

I am also a huge bag charm fan. At least those Labubus are still way cheaper as my usual preferred LV and Loewe ones…

Me too, adore all my LV charms (so bummed I could not get the LSD panda charm). Am contemplating my first Loewe charm

You still can try to get the LSD panda, there are on and off restocks, might be worthwhile checking now and then. The Loewe ones are beyond lovely and still very modest. I love the current vegetable, fruit and herb (does lavender count as herb?) ones!
However, I always will have a knack for cute anime style things, even if I am not that young anymore. The Labubus hit a nerv as I have always loved ugly-cute thingys. 😅 Some people might find it childish, but it makes my heart hop when looking at cute stuff, so why not. But I admit my Labubus (I have only 2) just sit at home looking mischivious at visiting people.

Oh, I agree. I was an adult but I and my friends at least acted the part, no hysteria for us. Hopefully you don't remember the cabbage patch craze or Elmo. People throw reasoning out the window. Maybe it is just a chance for some to think they now have something everyone else has. When I was a kid it was troll dolls and now Stanley cups. There will always be something.
I actually still have two cabbage patch kids! Well, my dad still had them somewhere and sent them to me which made me laugh. So yes, I do still remember that craziness. Maybe I got it all out of my system when I was still in elementary school and that's why I'm immune to Labubu.;)

The comments on that article are a tad ott- people saying they "ruin" the expensive bags and comparing it to putting a bumper sticker on a fancy car?? Like- you can detach them right? It's not permanent or anything.
Personally I'm not into it. I just can't deal with big things hanging off my bags. If I do charms at all they're usually small and no more than 1 or 2 if I'm feeling really wild. Also I've never been able to get into any of these crazes. Never got into the troll dolls, or the monchichi or the beanie babies... I just could never get excited about it. I do love watching other people enjoy them, though. They do grow on you. I might hook one on a bag if someone gifted me one, at least for a day or two until it drove me crazy. But there's no way I'm losing sleep or getting stressed out over trying to obtain one- though I guess that's part of the fun of it? :happydance:

I agree, I don't know why people can't just think "each to their own" and be happy for the people that 'X' craze makes happy. Such snobbery. I don't have any of the crazes stuff but there are worse things in life.

I will say though, it just shows the whole hog-wash of marketing 'Gen-Z = sustainability' is/was. Every decade has had a mad ugly/cute doll craze that caused mock outrage in the media to stir up the craze further: 1970s trolls; 1980s Cabbage Patch Kids; '90s Beanie Babies; '00s Bratz; '10s Blythe and now Labubu. Good to know Gen Z are just as consumerist, materialistic and easily seduced by plastic fluff as their parents and grandparents.

Wait until you get to be my age and your childhood will come back to slam you but in a gentle way I hope. I really miss being blissfully ignorant of the lives of grownups. I do know that there is no way in heck my parents, my dad especially would have made an effort to get an " it" item. But what the heck I somehow had access to a slinky, pick up sticks and mr potato head and of course jax. The only downside of jax was our pekinese kept trying to steal the ball since it fit his tiny mouth perfectly.

Alright, I hope that nothing exciting comes out because I think I have plenty lol.
Introducing the fam:

It’s interesting as a girl who was never into dolls when I was a child, this is probably the closest I’ll get to it lol.

I was also able to score a few limited edition ones but they’re for other people.
This is so cool 🤩

You have to dress up the non-fashion ones now lol.

My dad took me to a local toy store when I was very young to get a troll. Not the new versions from the fairly recent movies. He didn't know what it was so when the salesperson showed him he looked at me and said, "Is that what you want? It's so ugly." I told him that was absolutely what I wanted, and left the store jubilantly with my little troll in a paper lunch sized bag.

I think Labubu are hideous they give me the creeps.
I have an amusing story actually about Labubu...Where I live in London we have a neighbourhood forum where there's a lost and found section, posts are usually about lost cats or found wallets then one day I saw this...
A lost Labubu!! one of my colleagues had queued up from 7am at a popmart store only to be told sales were banned across the UK due to the crazy scenes of those desprate to buy.
I considered it my duty to inform forum readers this was not just a 'childs teddy'...but a hot fashion accesory!
the lost one probably ended up on ebay at a premium

I just remembered, I had a troll as a kid. A little one and if I remember the hair color was pink. If I could afford it it must have been really cheap. So many other girls in my grade school had them. Ah, the good old days.
