Do you freak out when people touch your purse?

I have this thing about personal space. It doesn't matter if it's my $2 shopping bag with my groceries in it or my Chanel, do not go near it. That personal space becomes smaller around close family and friends but they know their limits. The only person which i barely know which i have been comfortable with handling my Chanel was an LV SA, he put on his gloves and cradled it to admire it (with permission of coarse).

Abit OT, it's like when people tried to touch my belly when I was pregnant, don't go there.

it happens from time to time. I would prefer people not touching my bags, I can be a germaphob like a few ladies here. however if people admire I like it if it didn't involve touching. the chances if that happening are slim sadly

Disgusting how far some people try to push their luck. I've had a girl try touch my bag once but my partner blocked her arm out the way. He's always on the look out :)
On that note he even protects the bags in the Chanel boutique to stop other people trying to grab them whilst I'm deciding which to take home with me. He's more protective then me over them LOL.

HAHA thats so funny, my boyfriend does the same thing. He forms a circle around me and my baggy, I guess they love us

i dont like it when people touch any of my things without asking even if i know them! A polite "can i please see that" will always work wonders with me and ofcourse it will be follwed by the question "why". If im satisfied, then i will oblige their request most times1

it freaks me out when people put my bag on the floor so they can sit... i would usually walk straight over and say politely "let me get my bag out of ur way" but really Im think "get away from my bag! she does not touch the floor!!!" Hahahaha

LOL, I had the same reactiion when a lady took my beige claire GST off the chair next to me and put it on the ground (on dirt & grass!) so that she could sit :nono: At least ask me first. I'll gladly move my purse to my LAP! hahaa.

On the first day of school, I put my black Maxi on an empty seat next to me. And next thing I know this one girl grabbed my purse and put it on the floor so she can use the seat. It happened so fast that i didn't know what to say! Helloooo!! theres more seats that weren't taken! After i got back to my senses, I was horrified by what just happened. lol i know its just a purse but i really take care of my bags and don't ever put them on the dirty floor.

I think it's rude she touched your bag without your permission

My uncle knows that I love bags, so he always man handles them to tease me. Once he grabbed my chanel flap, I could still hear the scratching noises til this day. It really annoyed me but I didn't let it show. As soon as I was alone I checked my baby for scratch marks and thankfully there were none. Another time i was showing bf's brother my new purchase, an LV wallet and his dad walked into the room and decided he wanted to check it out too. He kept opening the clasp and he literally spent 10 mins looking at everything. It drove me crazy!! Yet another time, I just came back from shopping and my cousin wanted to see what I bought. She had her thumb in her mouth trying to bite off a hang nail and she was wearing lip gloss. And she literally grabbed my new wallet to check out. Then one time when my brother's gf was over, she took the liberty of trying out my chanel flap, opening it, looking at the contents of my bag, etc. I know she was just excited because she wants one too but I thought it was rude. Man I have so many stories! I just really don't like when people touching my belongings. As others have mentioned, it's a matter of personal space and respect. And listen, I don't know where your paws have been so please keep your hands to yourself :)

He's a keeper! My bf knows how crazy it am about my bags so whenever we go to restaurants he requests for tables with an extra chair for my bag. And when we go to his house he always finds a protective place for my bag so that no one could touch it.

Once my brother's gf was looking at my wallet and my brother took it from her pretending to look at it himself, but he took it because he knows I don't like people touching my stuff.

The only person I have to worry about touching my bag is my boyfriend. Whenever I leave it on his desk chair, I'm forever paranoid that he'll just sit his butt on it. It's happened before...

That being said, whilst he absolutely HATES my penchant for designer bags, he completely understands my pain when I find a new dent on my lambskin flaps and why I have to spend up to 10 minutes massaging it out :)

I don't mind people touching my purse, or even carrying or what ever, but I hope they are gentle with the bag.

However, some of my friends don't recognize Chanel or the money I parted to purchase it.

So when I ask them to hand me my bag or what not, they don't use the chains and instead roughly grab the top part of the bag and flatten the upper flats and quilts!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh, I try not to show my anxiety, but as soon as I get my bag, I smoothen out the flap and quilts. I can hear my flap crying. :(
