I am not a touchy, feely person… I don’t like being touched by strangers, and I am extremely uncomfortable when people invade my personal space.
Recently, I had a hair appointment and was rushing to get to the salon on time, and totally forgot to leave my bag in the office, as I always do (on that particular day I was carrying one of my most cherished bags - - my black caviar jumbo classic single flap w/GH). After I arrived at the salon and checked in at the front desk, I took a seat to wait for my stylist and then realized I had mistakenly brought my Chanel with me and I instantly became very nervous and concerned that my bag might come in contact with some salon chemicals, dyes, colors, hair sprays, shampoos, or splattering water from the shampoo bowl.
I was truly freaked out and worried that my baby could get damaged! Before long, I saw my stylist coming to greet me and escort me back to her station, so I stood up and as I did another stylist approached me (she was holding a small plastic container of hair color in her left hand and mixing/stirring it with a brush in her right hand). Without a word, she reached out and touched my bag with her right hand, and I shrieked in horror that she may have had color residue on her hand when she touched my bag! I didn’t hesitate to admonish her about touching my bag without first asking permission. She apologized after my verbal scolding.
My stylist quickly provided a towel for me to wrap my bag in and I kept it in my lap, covered during the entire appointment. Whew!
